Trying to get your intellectual opponents banned off an online platform for having a different definition of feminism is the epitome of intellectual intolerance, parochialism, and close-mindedness. The feminist activists on r/GenderCritical weren't hurting anyone, they just held views that the radical trans activists don't like and disagree with. The Internet doesn't exist to conform and comport to their every ideological belief.

Ehh, I've been on the site since 2013, there's always been a sort of bias. Just flock to Parler, because in a few short years Reddit will have it's own automated Thought Police. Soon they'll be tracking posts that oppose site-wide policies, then they'll start monitoring your comments for any "hate speech," of course... then more subreddits get taken down, moderation (of views) will increase, and the hive-minded herd sheep will be more, and more concentrated, untill all the undesirables hate groups are eliminated. You know, for the safety of all people.

They got banned for defining the meaning of 'feminism' in a way that some people and activists don't like. Now their platform is banned from Reddit. Its outrageous.

You are not required to allow the KKK to participate if you don't want them. The same is true about Reddit. They own the forum, they have every right to set, and change, the rules governing participation.

I dunno about "hysterical and radical crime activists", but we've had a lot of (tbh, kinda of unhinged) complaints about calling police on minorities for literally any reason - even when the individual in question is committing a crime in plain sight.

That's more complicated. It's using mods police as a weapon, but in a quite literal sense. IRL, that can have fatal consequences, and when you call an armed response on someone who're plainly not doing anything wrong it can be problematic. It shouldn't be criminal, however, and the fault of police shooting innocent people ultimately lies with the police - kinda like how Reddit's choice to remove subreddits is something they're ultimately responsible for.

Its not hateful to define the aims of feminism and the liberation of "women" based on biological sex rather than gender identity. Its a legitimate, academic and intellectual disagreement as to the meaning of the word "women" and its implications on a social, political movement. Taking a side in that discussion does not make one hateful, it just means you have a different opinion.

And they've applied their ToS in an arbitrary and capricious way, and we're entitled to scrutinise it and criticise it if it doesn't make sense. And in respect of r/GenderCritical, it quite clearly doesn't make sense.

False reporting is also a crime, and if they commit a crime, then you calling the police to tell them about a false report is the same kinda deal as your simile.

Rowling's been inundated with endless online abuse, harassment, and misogyny thrown her way by angry trans activists. That's power in its own way, the power of the irrational angry mob.
