Again, not criticising Reddit here. I'm criticising the intellectually-intolerant and close-minded trans rights activists.

Trying to get your intellectual opponents banned off an online platform for having a different definition of feminism is the epitome of intellectual intolerance, parochialism, and close-mindedness. The feminist activists on r/GenderCritical weren't hurting anyone, they just held views that the radical trans activists don't like and disagree with. The Internet doesn't exist to conform and comport to their every ideological belief.

Feminist activists fighting for women's liberation were silenced by a bunch of close-minded people who have an intellectual disagreement with how they define 'feminism'. That's literally it. They got banned for defining the meaning of 'feminism' in a way that some people and activists don't like. Now their platform is banned from Reddit. Its outrageous.

If you were to host a public debate on your front lawn, you would have every right to include or exclude any group you choose. You are not required to allow the KKK to participate if you don't want them. The same is true about Reddit. They own the forum, they have every right to set, and change, the rules governing participation.

Further to the OP, there is an essential difference between not letting someone speak and putting them into a gas chamber.

I dunno about "hysterical and radical crime activists", but we've had a lot of (tbh, kinda of unhinged) complaints about calling police on minorities for literally any reason - even when the individual in question is committing a crime in plain sight.

Ah, I think I understand.

That's more complicated. It's using mods police as a weapon, but in a quite literal sense. IRL, that can have fatal consequences, and when you call an armed response on someone who're plainly not doing anything wrong it can be problematic. It shouldn't be criminal, however, and the fault of police shooting innocent people ultimately lies with the police - kinda like how Reddit's choice to remove subreddits is something they're ultimately responsible for.

Its not hateful to define the aims of feminism and the liberation of "women" based on biological sex rather than gender identity. Its a legitimate, academic and intellectual disagreement as to the meaning of the word "women" and its implications on a social, political movement. Taking a side in that discussion does not make one hateful, it just means you have a different opinion.

An interesting take, these subs will often fester if left in place or just reorganize if banned like you pointed out. However, the world is so full of hate already I don't see a point in their continued existence personally.

Cough.

For trans people, the line between the two can tend to blur fairly heavily. Plus multiple sources I've looked at said the sub was viciously transphobic.

Again, talking about those literally committing crimes (to be the same as your simile).

False reporting is also a crime, and if they commit a crime, then you calling the police to tell them about a false report is the same kinda deal as your simile.

But ultimately, the problem lies with the person committing the crime or breaking the ToS.

The radical trans activists have a fair bit of power too, you know. They managed to get Graham Linehan's Twitter account permanently banned. And J. K. Rowling's been inundated with endless online abuse, harassment, and misogyny thrown her way by angry trans activists. That's power in its own way, the power of the irrational angry mob.
Purgatio is an absolutist hereditary monarchy run as a one-party fascist dictatorship, which seized power in a sudden and abrupt coup d'état of 1987-1988, on an authoritarian eugenic and socially Darwinistic political philosophy and ideology, now ruled and dominated with a brutal iron fist under the watchful reign of Le Grand Roi Chalon-Arlay de la Fayette and La Grande Reine Geneviève de la Fayette (née Aumont) (i.e., the 'Founding Couple' or Le Couple Fondateur).

For a domestic Purgation 'propagandist' view of its role in the world, see: An Introduction to Purgatio.

And for a more 'objective' international perspective on Purgatio's history, culture, and politics, see: A Brief Overview of the History, Politics, and Culture of Le Royaume du Nettoyage de la Purgatio.
