First of all this is all anecdotal evidence, and thus shouldn't really be taken to support an extremely wide-reaching psychological claim. Secondly simply assuming animals feel gratitude because their behavior somewhat resembles that of humans expressing such emotions is a fairly unreasonable thing to do.

First, who cares? Evidence is evidence, some animals do have graditute.
Second of all, why?

What other way should they be?Neutraligon wrote:La xinga wrote:First, who cares? Evidence is evidence, some animals do have graditute.

I have evidence that the sun rotates around the earth, see it moves across the sky. Just because something looks like it happens does not mean your interpretation is correct. You are humanizing animals with no evidence that they should be humanized that way.

Evidence Is evidence, but 13 cases not under experimental conditions is not very strong evidence, certainly not strong enough for the fairly extreme calm you are making. It is unreasonable because the minds of animals are quite possibly very different from ours, a fact which is not acknowledged if you simply project your own sentiments onto them.

How so joy? And cannot they just be happy, not needing to go to their saver?
