Reminds me of a PragerU video with someone who was angry things were getting political in online sewing forums, so then went to a Trump rally to see what Republicans were actually and I think you can guess what happens from then on.

Reality is confusing.

It's a mix bag depending on situation. However, racism isn't a contest. What negatively impacts Arab-Americans will also affect Latin Americans in other ways and vice versa. Living with both identities, even though both sides of my family have been in the US long before most Italian-Americans came here, I'm juggling a very awkward position of a White passing Latina and a White passing Arab since I'm "White" on the surface but do get treated differently on paper

White in Latin America is basically "you look kinda white and identify as white."

White in America is basically a map of the old world with haphazard lines drawn through Europe marking which countries are white and which aren't, and the lines are always getting redrawn.

I think the stereotype of Hispanic main characters/side protagonists in American movies is that they are tough, street smart, loyal to their parents and siblings, and determined. There’s this trope of them being in a bad place but then somehow overcoming adversity in some way.
