It's more the case that when I see folk with incredibly low (single figure) post counts getting into heated debates and I wonder while I hold by breath what side the coin is going to land on, as whether or not they will lapse into rulebreaking is a coin toss.

I honestly would never live alone in a house. Like when I lived in Ypsi, I had an apartment but I could sleep at night knowing someone was about ten feet away on one side, ten feet away on the other, ten feet above me and ten below. In a house though, it's just you. Like no one else is around. I sleep downstairs in my parents' house these days with the two puppies sleeping in the same room, but god I would never sleep alone in an entire house.

You know what I mean? I guess it goes back to my fear of the dark and the fact I read horror stories all the time.

It does often seem like team wokescold vs team own the libs, yes. Even more people than usual not bothering to read other arguments even while quoting them and instead arguing against what they might've said if they were some z-rate satirists caricature of "the other side".

It's a weird year, I think a lot of people are struggling and have slightly over-invested themselves in the next US election as some kind of beacon of hope or pivotal moment that will make everything better or make the planet explode.

Indeed. I'm quite a far-left person for instance, but I'm not authoritarian by any means, nor am I an extremely progressive guy - I just want people to be able to get along and hold whatever opinions they want. In terms of cultural issues, I'm more a fusion of progressive opinions and 'I just wanna grill for God's sake'.

And then there's my ideology - it makes me look like a raging ANTIFA guy who refuses to tolerate other opinions, when in reality I just don't like unnecessary coercive hierarchies and am actually more respectful of the opinions others hold. Oh well...
