Had to get a COVID test today. College is requiring all students to get it. It sucked.

Hope it comes back negative.

My uni is going online for pretty much all its classes for the fall term, save for a few exceptions (i.e. labs, certain classes that can't done over WebEx, etc), so there's really no need for me to go anywhere at all, except to get necessities from the corner store.

Meanwhile, my parents are still working from home, though my mother was scheduled to return to the office after the long weekend (after being delayed from mid-July), but because of rising numbers here, her workplace is basically going to decide every two weeks whether to continue working from home or whether they'll resume in-person services.

Very controversially, my company had us teaching online classes from the centers without interruption and only very recently began to allow individuals to apply to work from home (but it would be monitored strictly and with a One Strike policy).

The classes could have been taught from home assuming Individuals had the tech and internet but there was reluctance to move in that direction for a variety of reasons we aren’t told.

So now I’m nervous. After finally applying for it and getting through all hoops and delays, I better not miss/mess up anything on this constantly shifting class schedules. It’s a giant logistical nightmare just shifting the materials into the USBs. Otherwise it’s back to public ferries/trains every day...
