Choosing to believe something that you know is false or doesn't make sense is self-deception, and is inherently morally bad. It is better to see the world as it is, so if you dupe yourself into believing something you're harming yourself.

There is nothing wrong with having hope for something which might not happen, though. The future is unpredictable, and where something might not happen it also might happen.

So, after a visit to the doctor’s today for a brief check up, I have decided it’s time to get back to working out and getting in shape. I think today’s check up has finally given me the motivation to want to improve myself and lose weight (that and my mental health seems to be improving). So I’ve got a workout plan and the beginnings of a meal plan.

So, after a visit to the doctor’s today for a brief check up, I have decided it’s time to get back to working out and getting in shape. I think today’s check up has finally given me the motivation to want to improve myself and lose weight (that and my mental health seems to be improving). Nice. Boxing and working out has helped so much for the general depression I felt growing up.

Its been a real avenue out of alcoholism and government dependence that was my future.

Nice, I've been seriously getting back into distance running for the first time in years. I'm up to being able to run (barely) half a mile at a time, and I'm up to three miles a day (walking/running)
