Anyone who’s fallen into that rabbit hole should know about stuff like the Cooper Family photo, which is probably fake but still pretty frightening. Don’t look it up if you’re scared easily.
The Solway Firth Spaceman is much less scary but just as fake. Or at least misinterpreted.(Image)
The story goes the girl’s father took the photo and didn’t see anyone behind her, despite a whole alien lookin’ guy right there. Which might actually be true, his camera didn’t have the best viewfinder, but people have since concluded it was his wife, whose bobbed hair and overexposed dress made her look kinda like a spaceman when facing backwards.
I think I remember too much of this, but if I went back to that channel I would remember WAY more.

You know which rabbit hole I’ve fallen into of late? Lost media like kids’ shows or supposed video games? There’s some downright creepy stuff out there.

Ooh yeah. Polybius is a classic. I don’t know much else in that ‘field’ though, which might be changed soon.
Have you watched Channel Zero? It’s a TV anthology series that adapted four popular creepypastas in four different seasons. The first one is based off Candle Cove and was pretty good, but I haven’t watched the next seasons.

Wait, you’re in HK right? That’s probably why you can’t access Shudder. But there must me similar Asian horror streaming sites. Have a look.Pax Nerdvana wrote:The idea of lost media is just downright creepy on some existential level.

No, but now that you’ve mentioned it, I’ll be sure to check it out. The Candle Cove is deal has always been one of my favorite creepypastas.

Basically, the only proof that this movie ever existed are a handful of stills and scripts.

In what sense? I find it just horribly fascinating. Here's something that someone poured their work into and the world just callously forgot about it. Almost comforting to know that people are out there trying to make sure all work is recorded and honored.
