Somehow, I doubt you qualify as "scary."

Why not? :(

This probably isn't the right thread for politics. It is a good thread for friends, though. So, hello, it's nice to see you here. :)

I'm disappointed.

Very disappointed. Roald Dahl deserves better.

Indeed.

It's also not faithful to the twisted, dark nature of the book. I mean come now... witches entering a hotel for a gathering, and then plotting to turn children into mice to slaughter them?

The overly light and comedic/slapstick tone just doesn't fit.

It was always supposed to be a "children's" book with the quotation marks.

I like conspiracy theory ones, but when the opening is about a photo of a child, with a mysterious black figure in the background is a bit too much.

You could always not look at the photo. Just a thought.

Do you enjoy history? There are a few history podcasts that are pretty good to listen to as you fall asleep.

I do, but I have read so much history that it is hardly worth listening to because it's just stuff I know.
It was actually really cool, but I calmed myself down by saying they were just people covering up aliens.
shouldn't have read buzzfeed's article about freaky unsolved crimes
