I don't think so. I do think that less people will be interested in anything associated with JK Rowling, though.

Yeah, time is really weird. I try to avoid looking at my oldest posts. They make me cringe a little. My beliefs have changed somewhat since then.

So have mine. It's actually like being a different person, in a sense. Old posts are scary for a reason.

Yeah. Some of my early RP posts scare me. I've definitely gotten better at writing.

That's the best way to do it, but I know a lot of people who wouldn't want to support her at all.

It's not that most writers are male it's that there's a lot of genre segregation going on, with the most popular genres in this segregation being mostly handled by men.

Men get attached more to action or comedy works while women get more attached to dramas or romance works. It just so happens that the former tends to worm their way into pop culture a lot more than the latter. (And usually the latter gets it for negative reasons)

Maybe more relevant for Stephen King and boobs - Author Appeal

My doctor's surgery finally made them mandatory. Which is good, because the last time I had to go, the other patient wasn't wearing one and I thought: What the hell? This is the surgery time for people with fevers. (unrelated to COVID; in case anyone might be concerned).

I think that depends on the views, the art and also how much you like the artist.

I agree that -- with books and films, especially -- authors, directors etc are separate and distinct from their creations (which tend to, through the fans, take on a life of their own). So, someone can enjoy something created by JK Rowling while still utterly condemning her transphobia -- if they already enjoyed her work.

I, however, was never a fan of JK Rowling, and already thought her a rather unpleasant person, so this episode hasn't changed that.

I suppose not

I hear the next Fantastic Beasts movie will be set in Brazil. This sounds exciting (but I probably have too high hopes for the storyline).

I have not handled this pandemic very well tbh. Almost had a panic attack out in public last month. The mall had just reopened and I went in and it was almost deserted, save for a few people in masks, and a bunch of stores were closed. Suddenly I just got this overwhelming uneasy feeling and had to leave before I completely broke down.

I've come to the conclusion that I probably won't survive 2020. It's definitely the end times.

The masks are scary, in some way. It's like a reminder of everything that's happening. It's not normal in any sense.

Indeed. I feel at this point, the Messiah is probably either Bernie Sanders, Jacinda Ardern, or a political leader who actually gives a fuck about the people and not the bourgeoisie.

Probably. But I'm almost certain that He, in whatever form He assumes, would emerge as a politician and a theorist. If Jesus were alive 100 years ago, he'd almost certainly be Lenin.

I understand that. Everything's up in the air for a lot of people at the moment, and I think most people are a bit on edge.

I saw someone say that the Rebelution is associated with Quiverfull, which is odd because I read it and am not Quiverfull.

The teen blog? Yep, it's associated with Quiverfull -- some of the other things associated with the... erm, movement are here.

Technically, Quiverfull isn't actually a denomination.

FWIW, I don't believe you are Quiverfull. But you do seem to have been seeped in some beliefs linked with Quiverfull. Not least, the "woman at home"... stuff.
