It's not that most writers are male it's that there's a lot of genre segregation going on, with the most popular genres in this segregation being mostly handled by men.

Men get attached more to action or comedy works while women get more attached to dramas or romance works. It just so happens that the former tends to worm their way into pop culture a lot more than the latter. (And usually the latter gets it for negative reasons)

Yeah, time is really weird. I try to avoid looking at my oldest posts. They make me cringe a little. My beliefs have changed somewhat since then.
