I get sad when animals pass away. I'm not fond of people despite paradoxically being social as hell, but I love animals (specifically mammals like dogs, cats, horses, sheep, and donkeys) so I have a soft spot for them.

Yeah, been there. The kitten I got after Snoopy died croaked like 3 months after I got her.

Damn humane society apparently didn't think a little health check was worth the time, so she came with an intestinal parasite that did her in.

I still troll their Facebook page with a bunch of anonymous accounts, and she's been dead like 4 years now. I'm a grudge holder.

No idea. But I know I'm never adopting from there again.

I haven't adopted in like 6 years, and even when I do, I always adopt from the ASPCA.

Simon (the aforementioned kitten, rest his soul) my father actually found in a parking lot outside his work. We were originally going to give him to the ASPCA but my grandmother took one look at him, said "Oooooooh, that's mine!" and the rest is history.
