Well the fridge didn't have as much variety of left-overs, pickles, salad vegetables etc, as would be ideal.

Grated raw beetroot makes a good ingredient. It's earthy.

I honestly don't get the animosity against beetroot. Pickled beetroot is one of the primary salad accompaniments.

I never bothered with writing in cursive; simply joining up the letters is as far as I go.

The thing is... cursive was hugely emphasized in primary school, then it was “optional” in high school (though discouraged because teachers would struggle deciphering it) and then just became discontinued.

I mean, I think it’s quite damning that I don’t even feel I should use it for government and application forms because it could create uncertainty. It seems that block letter writing just makes more sense.

I guess now it’s more Art form?
