Right wing this. Left wing that. Gosh I just wanna GRILL for God's sake! What is centrism you ask? Well, I'll tell you. For me, it's the idea of balance. The centre. Or as the Americans say, the center. Now centrism can include everything from center-left, the radical center (where I am), and the center-right. People of other ideologies are of course welcome to discuss and participate, but please be aware of NS rules, and do not delve into off-topic conversations.

Some relevant discussion topics to start us off:
The decline of centrists in the United States and how they can be revived.
Social issues and how a centrist take will solve them.

Well gosh oh golly gee, Sonny, here ya go askin' the hard questions. What's with Centrism losin' it's appeal? Why are all the whipper snappers saying "Right this" and "Left that", and talking about conquering bread and reading Siege? What is Right and Left? What even is politics? If the universe is so big, why won't it fight me?

You see, I'm glad we had someone make this thread. This right here, this is what NSG needs. And you know what, it's what I need. The Right, those bigots, they just won't listen, and the Left are too full of cuckaducky snowflakes to handle the truth, but, as a Centrist myself, I know the truth, and boy, has the truth really set me free, and it'll set you free too, Jimbo. So, ya wanna know how we can solve our social issues? You wanna know how we can pull America together, and really get Left Larry and Righty Randal together to sing a little Kumbhaya and watch some ball? I'll tell ya how, Sonny.

We just gotta whip the ol' grill.

Centrists are boring, that's why there is a decline. And they don't get anywhere being so neutral.

It's not a neutrality. It's a balance of left and right. In my opinion, Juche is a perfect example of centrist ideology.

Right now I live in a small apartment with my roommate since the divorce with my wife. I have a George Foreman 2-Serving Classic Plate Electric Indoor Grill and Panini Press, Black, GR10B since the old grill isn't allowed by my landlord. We're going off topic, but tomorrow I wish to explain the symbology of the grill to you guys and why it's a symbol of centrism so that you may better understand the movement.

Another? I'm enlightened. I've taken the grill pill. I understand the need of balance during these trying times. By extracting from the left and from the right, centrism is a Hegelian synthesis of politics which will adapt to the needs of the people. It is realpolitik. Both the left and right wing of this political bird is getting grilled, and the heat is getting distributed equally. If you're not a centrist, you gotta ask yourself one thing: When the grill gets turned on, will my ideology blend in with the flavors of the bird, or will it be burnt like bacteria?

Charcoal is the only way to go, Jimbo. When I think gas, I think "Russians", "Arabs", and "No flavor", but when I think charcoal? Woo, Sonnyboy, I think "smokey flavor", "Beers and a radio", and "Private American Coal Plant", and if that don't scream Centrism, then, woo, Jimbo, I just don't know.

Centrism is the ultimate path to enlightment.

Just imagine, taking what works from Righty Randal and Lefty Larry, and making it work, without none of the bad. Like, we could take from the Right Nationalism without the Capitalism, and from the Left Socialism without the Internationalism. Just good old Americans loving their country, looking after their own, and maybe cracking open some beers and grillin' up some Grade-A American patties on a calm Wednesday Afternoon - Wednesday being the middle of the week, of course.
