BLM has supported some really great causes and held some protests that I thought were worthwhile. The basic message is a good one too. BLM has a lot of problems though and, at this point, I'm hesitant to view the movement as a uniformly or even principally good one, especially outside of the United States and the issue of police brutality.

BLM is a radical leftist revolutionary organization hiding behind race issues.

You can't judge historical figures with modern standards. Imagine if every single person living today who owns a dog or a cat is condemned in 100 or 200 years because owning another living being may by that time be seen to be just as immoral as slavery. Is that fair to us living today who are raised with a completely different sense of right and wrong?

When Washington and Jefferson were alive there was nothing wrong with owning slaves. Period dot. It was perfectly acceptable in their time and quite a bit after their time-so judging them by modern standards is silly at best, ignorant and idiotic at worse. Those who wrote about this being native land, i'd like to point out that unless you're pure-blooded Native American, going by that logic, you have no more right to live here than a white man.

Frustratingly, most of the slaves they owned were descendants of slaves sold to Europeans by other Africans. Apparently Africans owning other Africans is acceptable but Europeans owning Africans is horrific. Groups like BLM are quick to attack white historical figures who owned slaves but don't talk about the fact that Africans were enslaving each other since BEFORE the Romans. There is also the fact that 1 million and 1.25 million Europeans were enslaved by Barbary pirates from the coast of Africa beginning in the 1500's. We even have a name for it-the Barbary Slave Trade. You can't hate white people because their ancestors may or may not have owned slaves when your ancestors might have owned slaves as well. It's hypocritical.

Throughout History people and nations have fought each other for land and resources. Native American Indians also came from somewhere else like Asia. Fought each other for lands and resources. Certain Native American Indians owned slaves. Stole each others children and wifes.
