Actually, I take that back. It's not irony, it's hypocrisy.

Don't blame the US over that, blame the corrupt CONCACAF board that's obviously just not American

The US doesn't control CONCACAF, unlike Brazil essentially using CONMEBOL with their puppet strings.

Obviously Mbappe goes to Walsall who are you getting your rumours from?

The Oly-Whites were knocked out of the Olympics on penalties. At one point, the commentator described on of the Japanese players as a creator and then used the fact of having just won Japan as a free kick as proof. An interesting insight, I think, into the commentator's view of how soccer should be played.

n.b. I think the commentator was Australian. I've never heard anyone in NZ say chance with a short a but it's usual in Aussie.

What pisses me off most is
NZ did better than us in the football
We beat Argentina but couldn’t hold a draw against Egypt

I’ve also completed my FPL team for match day one, so I’ll post my league predictions in a couple of days.

The United States wins the Gold Cup with a B team over Mexico. It's worth noting that Mexico had their best team and relied on a naturalized player to pull the strings of the team. What's worse is that toxic fans, on top of not learning to behave properly, will keep inflating the team's ego and will give no chance whatsoever to their young stars back at home.

So, Kane's moving to Man City? Goodbye to him. All we need is Sonny on the lineup, and we're set.

Of course Pep will demand like 200 million for Kane because Abu Dhabi essentially has unlimited money and can piss on FFP whenever they feel like it.

I mean, I don't care where he goes. As long as Kane leaves the team, Sonny will be the captain of Tottenham, and I'd love to see how well he plays.
Sonny in Tottenham, Uijo in Bordeaux, Min-Jae in Portu I, Seung-Ho in Portu I.

If Tottenham can give Son a good supporting cast, he will definitely do wonders. Daniel Levy, however, can only afford 50 pence and a ham sandwich in the transfer market.

He's even cheaper than that. Like he went 18 months without ever buying a player. Cash-strapped League Two teams often do that, but not supposed big clubs.

They had a circus show of mangers they interviewed and utterly failed to get them. They didn't get Conte because he wanted to bring some staff over. They considered Gattuso, a temperamental hot-headed Italian. Paulo Fonseca also bailed on them, and eventually they settled for Nuno.

And many Koreans are quite upset, because Sonny re-signed with the Spurs.

The scenes of Son crying after the EFL Cup loss to City really is striking. Tottenham sacked Mourinho before that cup final and had a literal gym teacher managing them in that final. No wonder they lost.

Poor Sonny. He deserves a better coach. Everyone kept saying Mou and Sonny go well together, but I think Son was better with Pochettino.

Poch was quality, but he needed that extra push and depth to go further. Mourinho lacked support entirely and he didn't get the players he wanted (like Ruben Dias, who he wanted to strengthen the defense).

Ah yes Davinson Sanchez, who is no better than a cardboard box at CB. Instead of getting Grealish for 25 million, they got Moussa Sissoko for 30, a lazy player who does not put in any effort.

Not to mention losing Oscar Dembele.

I'm not even sure if a team with Son and ten pieces of wood could win a CL.

Probably will be tough, but I think Son will shine, whether they lose or not. I mean, Son does have finesse.

Only if a striker like Ui-Jo can team up with Sonny.

Hey, but, you know, Sonny can do that one-man sprint again for 60 meters and score.

Then they'll dub him as Sonaldinho. That guy has pace and he doesn't come up in the fastest players convo too much.
