Diogo Jota is proving to be an absolute beast ! Jota is probably Liverpool's best signing since 2017,when they signed Salah..
NS Stats are not canon(See factbook for more info). Nation does not represent RL views. IC Name for all other RPs: Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. IC Name for NS Sports ONLY: Sannyamathland. Currently undergoing major restructuring. So factbooks and other settings may change.

Seems like all the big nations suffer from big defeats. Germany getting crushed by Spain 6-0 this year, England losing to an Iceland team whose combined salaries can't pay for one strand of Harry Kane's hair in 2016, Netherlands and Italy not qualifying in 2018, Germany's group stage defeat in 2018, etc.

I don't think these things are particularly abnormal, it's mostly that a big team goes through a low periodically.. typically when they're hanging on to aged stars in the team, and there's nearly always a rogue team in the semi finals.

Main concern for Liverpool is the growing list of injuries, you can't operate at Klopp speed in a squeezed timetable.

Joe Gomez got an injury on international duty during a friendly. With the increased number of injuries I wonder if national teams are even treating the players properly.

It's also worth noting that Dortmund's 5–2 win against Hertha brought a major happening and that is Youssoufa Moukoko finally making his first team debut and establishing a new Bundesliga record for the youngest debutant by more than 300 days. He might as well break the youngest CL participant if Favre puts him against Brugge later this week.

His play in the 1986 World Cup will forever be cherished by Argentina, with his play against England lifting the hearts and minds of Argentinians (and also a little revenge for the Falklands/Malvinas war four years earlier). Napoli will also cherish Maradona for his contributions to their only two Serie A titles.

YES! We beat Man United 3-1! Go PSG! Go Qatar! Qatari money coming in clutch again!
Proud Qatari team. Wants to win a CL. QSI forever! (Posts usually in-character, are satirical, often revolving around Qatari propaganda because Qatar is the best!)
Qatar, oil, cheating, corruption, farming, winning Ligue 1 every year, Neymar, Mbappe (for signing that huge contract), Messi, skirting FFP, huge transfers, huge wages, big-name players
Lille, not winning a CL, not winning Ligue 1 every year, bottling CL games, Real Madrid, Florentino Perez, UEFA refs, renewable energy, FFP regulations, every other French team who is not like us

To recap the CL from the past two days:

- Liverpool secured a R16 1st place with a win over Ajax and the fact that Midtjylland drew with Atalanta
- Real Madrid is horrendous on defense with Varane conceding yet another goal to Shakhtar
- PSG gets one over Man United finally, Erdogan's team lost to Leipzig in a shootout
- Bayern drew 1-1 with Atletico despite playing mostly subs

Tottenham and Milan book their tickets to the R32 in the EL. Arsenal remains undefeated, though they had a very easy group.

I'm putting my bets of Atalanta this year for the CL--they may be in a weakish group but they have proven they can beat much, much better teams (specifically Liverpool, but then again they lost ot the claret and blue)

Arsenal is floundering this season after their 2-0 loss to Tottenham. Arteta out I guess? Oh wait the fans will never shout that because Arteta won a Community Shield whereas Wenger apparently didn't?

To be fair Arteta is missing 5-6 of the type of players he wants to play his system.. to be as fair I've always considered Arsenal as a relatively middling team who carry major over-expectations.

Still, that Son goal was a stunner, Kane and Son are really gelling in a major way.

An FA Cup and Community Shield (yes a Community Shield) made Arsenal fans think he's the second coming of Pep. Yet Arteta doesn't ever use Ozil for some reason even though despite his advanced age, the German will bring much-needed creativity to the dull squad.

Time for Arsenal to hire Big Sam Allardyce to avoid relegation then!

We need this and AFC Bournemouth to fail to get promoted for the glorious claret and blue to be alphabetically first in the premier league.

Arteta's even outclassed by David Moyes. Lol imagine having high-wage players like Aubameyang and Ozil (with the former being terrible this year and the latter not even being used) and falling behind Newcastle in the league.

Problem is Aubameyang and Ozil are basically all they have going, pretty much all the good players they had a few years back jumped ship once it became obvious that Wenger wasn't going to win another league title, and those two can't win a title when they have to rely on a roster full of overhyped busts for support. Can't really blame Arteta when the front office dealt him a shitty hand to play.

I'd love to see all the Arsenal fans that chanted "Wenger out" 24/7 chant "Arteta out." Even Unai Emery at the same point last season did better than Arteta this season.
