I personally think it's transphobic to say you aren't attracted to trans people.

My reasoning for this is that the reason is almost always "trans people are too masculine/feminine and have genitalia I am not attracted to," which is a silly reason to say "I am not attracted to trans people," considering there are trans people who pass perfectly and do not have had surgery done down there.

What you mean is you are not attracted to man-ish women/woman-ish men, or people with genitalia that does not match their gender. Which is fine, but don't discount all trans people because of that.

Put that thought into practice, then, before chiding others for not sharing your views.

TBH, I'm of the opinion that when it comes to attraction, people should be more open and accepting of aspects people can't control. So be more accepting of race, height, gender, physical issues, etc...

However, there's always a limit. You can't make someone you want to bone but who doesn't want to bone do, do so. We have a word for that, it's called rape, and it's a crime in all of the developed world. Get over it and move on.

So first, lets debunk the idea that choosing not to date a trans person is nothing but a mere “preference” because it isn’t, it’s transphobia. When you go out of your way to exclude all trans people from your dating pool or who you choose to have sex with or be romantically involved with solely because they are transgender, that makes you a transphobe. Period. This sense of aversion that people hold against trans people in their dating or sex life isn't justified as a mere “preference” because your excluding and othering a whole group of people. That is literally textbook definition transphobia.

I dont go out of my way to tell ppl that. But if someone asked me, I wouldn't usually date a trans person. So once again, I don't owe that to trans people or anyone, and I have the right to choose.

People need to relax and read things through. And get their priorities straight. If people got as angry over missing and murdered indigenous women as they did over this dumb joke by Burger King, perhaps more progress would be made on actual important issues.

In any normal circumstances I would say you have a right to protest whatever in a march, go ahead, but in this case...what of the common good of keeping women healthy and safe during the pandemic?

In that case it's not that the gift of a child that is flawed but the receiver. That's good, especially because we're much better than we think we are. In fact, despite our flaws we're still lovely enough to receive the gifts we do even if we're not virtuous enough to appreciate them.

Alternatively, put something on the end of it if you are not currently wanting to receive "gifts", thereby dramatically reducing the chance of doing so and demonstrating a very virtuous sense of personal responsibility.

I'm trying to understand what you're saying a little bit better too. If parenthood is a gift then there's always a bright side to it. I'm saying that the goodness or bright sides of life, birth, and parenthood in principle fundamentally outweigh the negatives of each.

Birth is worth giving, and more than anything, life is worth living.
