It's been my understanding that violence against women is extremely common in Turkey. This includes the murder of spouses, violence against strangers, and, in more rural areas, honor killings of daughters, sisters, and cousins.

You secretly being Shadow the Hedgehog explains your formerly nihilistic outlook surprisingly well.

And I wasn't the one who decided to volunteer the "some people are into abortion" tidbit. I'm a good Jewish girl who does good Jewish girl things. My fetishes include cooking, rambling about how horses are cool, and making up picnics for my boyfriend of half a year that involve gazing admiringly into each other's eyes and holding hands. Also, I just realized that I'm like the final boss you have to fight after smashing the patriarchy. Big oof.

Overall, I'm grateful for the technological progress that facilitated women's widespread entry into the workforce. There's a dignity to work that gets undercut by the darker features of our time. Our work transforms our society. It's easy to put the onus on government workers, politicians maybe.

Regardless, no one gets to be a spectator. No woman is a spectator. Women, especially women today have the power to bring about great things in their work. Rigorous work, dignified work, is an important part of refreshing our institutions.

But it is true. This data set shows that higher access to birth control and contraceptive means lower rates of abortion.

It's a no brainer to me, especially as a sex positive feminist.

Ok, we'll get into this topic later today as well as the issue of sex-positive feminism in its contemporary sense. For now, I need to get a lot done. Peace be with you.
