I guess I should say "presumed people of color". It's fair, we don't know who did the shootings, and the protests themselves have been diverse.

For the past month the police across America have been responding to protests against their long-standing practice of murdering black people and getting away with it by attacking those protests. Presumably this constitutes thousands and thousands of nails into the coffin of statism.

I argued that it's disingenuous to compare the CHAZ to a country for several reasons, one of which is that by its very nature as an area without a police presence it is a target for right wing extremists. You yourself only recently expressed disappointment that more brutal measures were not taken.

Since when do the police care about murdering teenagers or extorting businesses? Plenty of cops do those things and routinely get away with them.

I am aware. However, my friend, policing in America is decentralized. What happened in Minneapolis bears no reflection on the Seattle police department's. Different departments have different cultures, policies, etc.

What had the Seattle police department done in this area that's so much worse than killing teenagers, extorting businesses, etc? And why does that neighborhood deserve to be punished by these protestors for it?

A jamaican friend of mine went to a protest here, he said most of the "troublemakers" were white kids. (He is my age).
