I'm sure he can build a coalition to win.
Then conviently make next to no reforms as president if said reforms hurt big business. Trump built a coalition of racists and unemployed workers and has he delivered on his promises to either of those groups?

Why? What are we fighting for? A crooked justice system, continual climate change, foreign wars and outsourcing but with a smile instead of an honest "screw america" like Trump is giving us?
We're fighting for the nation's raw survival. Biden will at least give us a little more time to consolidate and work on the serious electoral reform we need if we want to see the US survive beyond 20 years.

Well yes, that's the first part of the article to get it out of the way but the rest is good break down of pros and cons. Not fully but 538 certainly isn't supporting/opposing Harris: they're just stating the obvious here with regards to historic value though they did predict she would be the VP Nominee back in March so...
This part:Let’s pause there for a moment. I could have made the preceding three points — the history of the selection, the power of Black voters and the loss for the Left — and even used nearly the exact same words in some of those sections if Biden had selected one of the other Black women who was reportedly being considered for vice president. That list includes former Georgia House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams, Rep. Karen Bass, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, Rep. Val Demings and former National Security Adviser Susan Rice.
Pretty much sums up why Kamala was such a stupid pick.

Pretty much, I won't dispute that.Galloism wrote:WHY OH GOD WHY

And the other half who did not vote for them end up hating them, and in other places with third parties like Canada or the U.K. even more didn't vote for them. FPTP is a shitty undemocratic system and needs replacing.

I can understand decriminalizing marijuana by why legalize it? What are its merits, asides from not being as hard as cocaine, meth, or heroin (among other drugs) in terms of its ruinous side effects?

Because A.) Freedom isn't always harmless or pretty, and this is America, where millions of lives are sacrificed upon the altars of liberty each day that the founders dream might never entirely die.
B.) As distasteful as it may be, people are gonna do it anyway. Might as well get the tax revenue and economic sides out in the open.

This is also why I support just decriminalizing all drugs and just issuing a fine for the worst ones

Well, given how many states are working on reform this year, albeit not in any complete form, we could start to see some states looking at PR in '22 or '24. Of course, now it will be a much closer election and from the moment the polls close, time is on Trump's side.
