One vote gave ratified the 19th amendment in Tennessee in 1919.

I mean tbf it is not like the popular vote really determines who becomes president...

I'm sure he can build a coalition to win.

Then conviently make next to no reforms as president if said reforms hurt big business. Trump built a coalition of racists and unemployed workers and has he delivered on his promises to either of those groups?

Literally this.

We're fighting for the nation's raw survival. Biden will at least give us a little more time to consolidate and work on the serious electoral reform we need if we want to see the US survive beyond 20 years.

Yes it does

Here is a whole list for you: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of ... on_results

In 2017 one vote decided which party would control the Virginia house of delegates

And the other half who did not vote for them end up hating them, and in other places with third parties like Canada or the U.K. even more didn't vote for them. FPTP is a shitty undemocratic system and needs replacing.

The details of the above post are subject to leftist infighting.

I officially endorse Fivey Fox for president of the United States.

Well, given how many states are working on reform this year, albeit not in any complete form, we could start to see some states looking at PR in '22 or '24. Of course, now it will be a much closer election and from the moment the polls close, time is on Trump's side.

This part:

Let’s pause there for a moment. I could have made the preceding three points — the history of the selection, the power of Black voters and the loss for the Left — and even used nearly the exact same words in some of those sections if Biden had selected one of the other Black women who was reportedly being considered for vice president. That list includes former Georgia House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams, Rep. Karen Bass, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, Rep. Val Demings and former National Security Adviser Susan Rice.

Pretty much sums up why Kamala was such a stupid pick.

Pretty much, I won't dispute that.

I can understand decriminalizing marijuana but why legalize it? What are its merits, asides from not being as hard as cocaine, meth, or heroin (among other drugs) in terms of its ruinous side effects?

Under proportional representation people vote how they please and know their vote will count for a third party that will get representation. Ranked-choice voting would be another option, but not as good as proportional.

Because A.) Freedom isn't always harmless or pretty, and this is America, where millions of lives are sacrificed upon the altars of liberty each day that the founders dream might never entirely die.

B.) As distasteful as it may be, people are gonna do it anyway. Might as well get the tax revenue and economic sides out in the open.

People partaking in an illegal drug anyways, isn't actually a good or sound reason to legalize it. We don't allow Meth for example, because the negatives outweigh any positives it has on society. Similarly, if Marijuana has been illegal for many decades without incident, I'm going to be more in favor of it staying illegal if anything. The law has never or shouldn't use "people do it anyways" as an excuse to not enforce something when an incident is caught.

Ironically enough, legal marijauna businesses at the state level operating successfully, might change my mind of it but its a huge if it changes my mind. If I can see that the negative impacts I expect don't materialize from it being permitted to occur. I'm currently on the fence about it. I lean towards being against marijuana broadly speaking, but don't care about it one way or the other; if it proves to not be a threat to communities.

I see far more negative outcomes for synthetic marijuana than I do for the natural equivalents so far.
