If it's Kamala, I encourage people to just stay home. Trump may be an evil clown but he's chaotic evil, whereas Kamala Harris is organized evil that persecutes at every turn. Kamala would actually manage to get her dirty deeds done. Also the media would likely turn and look the other way, like they did for most of the primary till Gabbard called out the elephant in the room on live TV.

And if you're worried about what four more years of Trump would do to America, I suggest you have an escape plan ready. Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Michigan's upper peninsula, Maine, or if you can then Canada, or if you cant do any of these things then your basement or a drainage ditch. If this country thinks Biden-Harris is a decent alternative to Trump, it deserves four more years of the hell that is Donald Trump. Maybe then everyone will understand that the status quo is bullshit. They dont seem to understand right now that Biden and Harris are the people who made things so awful, Trump could even get elected in the first place, so screw it. Four more years of death, suffering, hatred, fear and chaos.

As vice-President?

Your level of alarm about Harris seems fit to her being President, not just vice-President. You know the chance of Biden dying in the first four years are actually quite small? And almost precisely the same as Trump's? So are you worrying about Biden not running next time, and Harris having a head start in the Dem primaries? Are you worried about her having a head start eight years from now?

I just can't see why you'd let you distaste for Harris influence your Presidential vote? Forget it Rojava, it's the vice-Presidency!

It's not Trump. It's Trump-Pence. The current vice-President has managed to keep his distance from all Trump's shit, his truly dreadful time as Governor is almost forgotten, and I swear if Trump resigned now, Pence would be 50/50 to win in November.

You're so afraid of Harris, yet you just forgot about Pence. Why is that?

Maybe then everyone will understand that the status quo is bullshit. They dont seem to understand right now that Biden and Harris are the people who made things so awful, Trump could even get elected in the first place, so screw it. Four more years of death, suffering, hatred, fear and chaos.

That's not the real argument against Harris being VP because it plays into the disingenuous and simply incorrect framing that Joe Biden is somehow on the verge of death at every waking moment. Like, "deteriorate further"? Bruh he's fine. He's not sick or anything.

No, the real problem is that Biden's VP is likely to be the standard bearer after Biden refuses to run for second term (which is quite likely) or even after his second term (if he decides to go for it but I don't see it likely). In essence, so the argument goes, Biden's VP pick has the clearest path to the presidency in 2024. My hesitance for Harris to get the slot is related to that, because I don't want her in an executive position, because her record as AG is just that atrocious.

That's not to say that I view a Biden/Harris ticket as worse than Trump/Pence, but honestly it seeing Harris in the veep slot would give me (more) reservations.

There's another possibility I'd like Rojava to consider.
Biden does announce that he won't run again. Harris enters the primaries as front-runner but loses anyway.

And ... Biden announces he won't run again. Whoever wins the primary, they lose the General.

Is it out of the question that extreme partisan polarization could settle the pendulum at 4 years for one party, instead of the traditional 8 years? Isn't the incumbency advantage essentially "better the devil you know" ... and does that still stand up if he was the lesser devil from the start, and no-one will let him do anything good or noble because that would just be "virtue signalling".

After two years of Biden being nice but boring, a whole lot of people are going to want Trump back. Biden will be like a public service announcement at a rodeo, even Mitt Romney could beat him.

Yes. As a child he had a stutter. As a young man and middle-aged man he made gaffs. Now as an old man, whole sentences come out wrong.

It's the slowing-down of age, most certainly, but it's probably also a deliberate attempt to make himself more Presidential. The average voter does not want a politician who seems to smart, and talking fast in complicated sentences shows off how smart one is. So he's slowed it down but unfortunately that's made what used to be one-word gaffs into nonsensical sentences.

I imagine he has advisors and speechwriters working on this. "That's great, the pacing is nice and easy. But remember, the viewers can't see semicolons. Use short sentences!"

Given how Trump speaks (and it's that of a nine-year-old or lower), it's quite hypocritical that the way Trump speaks (and if you read his transcripts, it melts your brain) is perfectly fine, but someone with an actual stutter with his olden age is deemed "senile". In all honesty, I don't think people care as much as Trump has attacked Biden on: his polling hasn't moved in that regard. Doesn't help either that we saw Biden ride a bicycle when Trump could barely walk down a ramp so...

Five Ways Trump And GOP Officials Are Undermining The Election Process. They're pretty self-explanatory:

1. Opposing changes to make it easier to vote amid COVID-19
2. Seeking to invalidate laws that make it easier to vote amid COVID-19
3. Advancing new practices and provisions that make it harder to vote
4. Anti-democratic rhetoric
5. Fundamental changes to the electoral process

The last point is tied to the Post Office. While I suspect this will give the GOP an upper-hand, I do feel they'll ultimately fail.

What if the debate just degenerates into random insults. Like it comes to a point it's just endless bleeping on TV?

Considering how Biden often fights with audience members and Trump gets offended easily, I could see it.

I'm finally seeing some evidence that Trump is recovering in terms of narrowing the gap between him and Biden. He's still too far behind but the point is that if he manages to keep that trend going, he might be in a position to win again. If he was able to turn everything around in such a short time, it'd be equivalent to the Battle of Tannenberg. One brilliant victory which destroyed two Russian armies that saved the day for Germany in terms of WWI's Eastern Front.

If turnout is high, it might be too late if absentee ballots are primarily used and too many votes are being cast ahead of time. If turnout is low, Trump has more of a real chance at victory. For a long time it looked like Trump lost all of his political instincts that helped him in 2016. But we now might see him wake up enough to deploy a better strategy that could pull the rug out from under Biden and force him to start having to campaign instead of hiding from public events.

If I have to choose between Kamala Harris and Mike Pence for president in 2024 I'm moving to Finland
The details of the above post are subject to leftist infighting.

Nor does it mean it would be a good pick, especially considering the many more qualified people available.

Her being a progressive pick is horrible if it means we get a morally dubious backroom backstabber to represent women and people of color in the White House... Or really anywhere.

The Dominion of Upper Nan: a technologically-advanced technocratic, national-syndicalist state where the people are mostly left to their own devices and given generous benefits so long as they obey the (numerous) laws and don't get any clever ideas about challenging the State's authority or bringing back democracy.

Largely inspired by Judge Dredd, Plato's Republic, and the political philosophies of Juan Perón and (to a lesser extant) António de Oliveira Salazar.
