I'm none too concerned about what you might think of it. With no election between now and then, the remaining 2/3rds of the Senate will vote for a new president pro tempore who will then be POTUS because there is no elected POTUS, VPOTUS or Speaker of the House. Those remaining will make Leahy president pro tempore and thus POTUS.

The military will take orders from POTUS as they always do, except as of noon on Jan 20th, 2021 that will be Leahy, not Trump. If Trump tries to hold on to office, he will be arrested.
