We should be hoping for Trump to be reelected but for there to be a Democratic House or Senate but not both. That way we can reign in Trump's worst instincts but still have him as a useful puppet. If Trump goes too far, we can perhaps have Pence become President. He's a more reasonable fellow like Mitt Romney would've been.

Thinking on this more, who exactly is Harris supposed to appeal to? I can understand decriminalizing marijuana but why legalize it? What are its merits, asides from not being as hard as cocaine, meth, or heroin (among other drugs) in terms of its ruinous side effects?

Arizona: Prop 207 would legalise the sale, use, and cultivation of marijuana in Arizona. People could own up to six plants of their own as long as they are kept secure in an enclosed, locked area away from public view. A 16% tax on sales would be imposed with money from the tax going to community colleges(33%), municipal police and fire departments(31.4%), highways(25.4%), the justice reinvestment fund(10%) and enforcement by the state Attorney General(0.2%). Local governments could still ban marijuana if they wish, and people with marijuana-related felonies can request expungement starting on July 12, 2021.
