Again with the calling things that don't represent communist ideas in this thread communist. :/

Well communism is a utopia, no state has ever been truly communist, so pointing to any attempt in the real world to forge a utopia along communist lines, be it the Sovirt Union or China to name a few, would fall into this criticism.

the reason i dont support biden has little to nothing to do with cuba, so whether he supports it or not would not greatly affect my reluctance to vote for him - my serious problems with biden are, in order from most to least important:
- he has sexually assaulted women
- he has explicitly stated that he will veto a universal healthcare bill
- he may have dementia
- he does not express any interest in establishing socialism in the united states
- he is yet another old white man in a long chain of old white men

Great list on the first one and third one, and there are Democrats and Democrat supporters who criticize me for supporting and defending President Trump. His son Hunter Biden stated on an interview, his career would not be the same if his name were not Biden, like Burisma and China. A few posts ago they did it again, when I posted many Democrats ignore the sexual allegations against Biden and just want him to win against Trump as many have said in the media and a few on the thread.

right, i understand that there are people who do understand the gravity of the situation, do criticize biden for those things, and are simply being pragmatic (on both sides of the aisle) - i've previously stated my own pragmatic reasoning for why i would vote biden if he chose karen bass as vp. that's why i put hypocritical democrats there in order to distinguish them from those who are not so.

There's no such thing as a communist state because communism is stateless. The best attempts are the EZLN, Paris Commune. CNT-FAI, and Rojava.

i am completely unsurprised by the fact that you would disagree with that, and as much as i disagree, i do understand what circumstances might lead to you personally feeling that way. what is strange to me is that you dodge any sort of criticism of your positions by simply stating that you disagree with the interlocutor but respect her right to feel that way; one must lack serious conviction or drive in their beliefs to not want to argue them in full, no?

my understanding is that the typical goal of marxist communism is for the state to "wither away" once an environment has been fostered in which the workers can own the means of production and a power vacuum will not form such that counterrevolutionary forces can take power. i personally find that to be a fundamentally flawed and unrealistic viewpoint, but that is the generally understood definition of communism and has historically been the proclaimed goal of most socialist regimes, so this claim is a bit odd to me

True communism is stateless. The stated goal of most "communist" regimes is to have the Government no longer be necessary. Its a fairly silly idea, which is why places like China or the Soviet Union failed to achieve it.

Communism is stateless, the states you're describing are states that pretend to be assisting in the transition to communism.
