The US House can appoint anyone as Speaker. So the House should now move a motion to delay elections for 4 years. If the Senate agrees and Trump signs it, the House should then hold an election for a new Speaker.

Jimmy Carter 2021!

They can't. Terms are for two years. Its mandated by the constitution.

The US state department is the last place I would be getting info about Assad from. I'm not saying Assad is a great guy, but in Assad Syria christians aren't being beheaded in the street or tied together and blown up. That happens in rebel controlled areas. The rebels are islamists whether western media wants to admit it or not, and if Assad fell (he probably won't now since he's basically won the war), Syria would become what Libya is currently. A failed state full of terrorists, oil smugglers, criminals and starving children.

Saddam Hussein was considered secular, despite himself being minority Sunni and his staff being heavily Sunni (also from his region). He had at least some Shi'ite members of staff.

"Secular" in the ME has to taken to mean "not outright banning other sects or religions" but discrimination is expected.

And that the ruler is probably a militaristic dictator who established himself on a somekind of nationalist ideology. In comparison, Saudi Arabia is not a secular state, for example.

So Biden will put us on a path to that eventuality. By embracing green energy, we will run clean at home and still produce enough oil for the entire western world.

At that point, Saudi Arabia becomes a footnote.

And I will be very happy. At least, Saudi Arabia will stop being a 7th century horrific dictatorship whose hobby is exporting Islamism, and settles as a normal horrific dictatorship.

The US is a top producer of oil and can meet its demand without input from the Middle East, afaik.

The Saudis only make up like .2% of oil in the states I think?

Saudi Arabia, Israel and Turkey. Three countries we ought to have nothing to do with since Israel is an ethnostate, Saudi Arabia is a sharia state and Turkey is like a hybrid of both of those things.

Not really...

Saudi Arabia's supplies still buoy prices enough to the point where they remain affordable. Despite that the US is one of the largest producers of oil in the world, Saudi's got such a large supply it helps keep prices reasonable worldwide.

It will always be cheaper for Europeans and other allies to import oil from Saudi Arabia or Russia through rail/pipeline than from the US through boat. Unless we sell our oil at a loss or literally give it away.

Idk that sounds fun but I don't think anyone would go for it.

I’ve actually suggested that. Though we could sell our oil at a little less than market price but remove NATO monetary requirements

No. That's an accounting scam: petrol and other fuels are a lot more expensive than crude oil. The US exports refined fuel and that looks good on the balance sheet.

Afaik, the US is still a net importer of crude oil. It might have turned around recently, but certainly it hasn't been self-sufficient "for decades".

That 90% of the country is a remarkably loose 90%. It's dominated by numerous competing militias backed by both Iran and Russia who both fight among themselves and the Regime's forces. Easiest comparison I can think of is 1930s and 1940s China. This is excluding the absurd amounts of territory that is the literal wild west right now.

Anti-Alexander Hamilton is a better term. Anti-Globalism is another term that describes me.

In the early Republic, corporations were heavely regulated and restricted. People like Jefferson also warned of corporate power. We are not founded on corporate rule or modern capitalism. That cultural myth was created later.

But yeah, the US buying all it's crude on the world market would likely get a reaction from OPEC but even so the price would go up.
