They aren’t really the example. Many of those people think socialism is communism.

Ya we have quite a lot of temples across the metro and there’s a big Hasidic community in Vinings with one of the only jewish boarding schools in the nation.

But the main issue isn’t so much the Jews voting democrat than it’s the suburban republicans ditching Perdue over this. Those republicans are very much against this type of thing.

Jews overall vote heavily democratic though.

Congratulations for not reading anything in my post.

I hope Ossof wins but doesn't he have to reach 50 percent? What are the odds of that happening?

I have no idea but you’d definitely need to have the libertarian candidate get more than 6% of the vote for it too happen plus if Biden wins Georgia by at least 3 points he could have a shot as Perdue is heavily tied with Trump

Wilson was leagues less smarter than Trump and still a completely unprincipled opportunist - not to mention he segregated the Federal Govt., fostered the Second KKK, was a lost cause 'muh states rights' neo-Confederate, and had no clue how to handle foreign policy. Trump may be a bumbling idiot, but at least he's not a Woodrow Wilson-style idiot.

Only because Trump has an army of advisors and secret dissenters keeping him from doing something disastrously stupid. If he had as much free reign as Wilson did we'd be sitting in WWIII by now.

I’m not exactly sure what a Biden victory, as is likely by now, will spell for my business. More federal taxes on top of the already ridiculous NY state taxes?

Of all of Trump’s stuff, his tax cuts were my favorite policy, they took off a pretty big chunk of taxes, although NY still is a big tax state

Trump Campaign 'disguised' and laundered nearly $170 million worth of spending, alleges the nonpartisan Campaign Legal Center.

This was during the time of former campaign manager Brad Parscale with or maybe Trump's Lawyers. And this:

The 82-page complaint, filed Tuesday by the Campaign Legal Center, contends that the Trump campaign's spending practices have the practical effect of masking payments — in violation of federal campaign-transparency rules — to various advertising contractors and senior Trump campaign staff and family members, including Lara Trump, the wife of the president's son Eric Trump, and Kimberly Guilfoyle, the girlfriend of Donald Trump Jr.

Much of the Campaign Legal Center's complaint focuses on American Made Media Consultants, a Delaware-based company formed in 2018 and supported by the Trump campaign to coordinate its massive ad-buying program.

Needless to say, if true, that is breaking the law though don't expect a quick ruling: the FEC currently doesn't have enough commissioners to enforce federal campaign-finance laws.

Governor Kemp has announced the special election for district 5 will be held September 29th with a runoff on December 1st if no one gets 50 percent

I said I thought Kemp would pull something like this. Instead of having the byelection in November like he should have, he's going to mess up the schedule.

Because with the vacancy as close as it is to November, it made far more sense to just have the special election at the same time as the regular election, but with a special date, and on debate night to boot, it's going to lead to depressed turnout. No, Williams won't lose by any stretch of the imagination, but it just seems pointless to have the vote so close to November.

Wow.

Fake News comments in 5.4....

I guess you have to give Trump credit. Kind of hard to go after him if the enforcement is messed up. He and Barr did a good job on that front.

I don’t see why they wouldn’t. They would get a slight boost in seniority

From my understanding, Biden’s tax plans would raise taxes on those with a great deal of wealth while keeping it stable for the middle and working classes. NY state’s tax rates, which admittedly, are a bit too high at the moment, aren’t going to be dictated by Trump or Biden, that’s up to your state legislature and governor.

Claiming to be a libertarian while desperately hoping for the time when voting for parties they don't like gets banned. Seems pretty anti-Liberty to me.

Democracy, from the Hoppean perspective, is innately anti-liberty, as it is merely entrusting your freedom to the masses. It is a power no one should have.
One may find it preferable to other methods of government, but that doesn't make it "good". American democracy needs extensive reform before its existence can be justified.
