Mannnn. The republicans are going to pay the price for embracing Trump.

You think old McC will retire if they loose the Senate?

Not in a million years.

Moscow Mitch, no matter how terrible he is, played the game of politics well as both the minority and majority leader. He will keep his place and attempt to obstruct as much as possible. He is only a Republican party tool.

I doubt he would but his minority leader position could be threatened by the likes of Hawley or Cotton if they get walloped in 2020, leading to slow but eventual expulsion of the Trump Wing of the Party. That said, both of those men are Trump-like figures so...

Either way, Trump's brand of politics- his populism, will likely cease in 10 years if they lose badly.

The only disadvantage for Dems at this point is the election isn't being held today.

That and the virus since election workers tend to be older individuals. Not enough and voting sites will be closed down, most likely in cities. What that means is that people will try and turn to mail in ballots.

Like me, I'm getting my mail-in application sometime next week, so I should be getting my ballot sometime in August or September.

The discussion of illegal immigrants working for less than American citizens should be irrelevant. Immigrants are not responsible for us losing our jobs and that's a sham of an argument made by the Republican party in this country. Electoral politics have failed Americans once again by making us choose between two candidates who don't have a grip on the real issue here: automation. Automation is the biggest problem facing Americans in the next five years, and it's only been accelerated with the pandemic.

My state, Colorado, has had all-mail voting for a number of years now. I suppose there are some in-person voting places, but mostly you just take it to a drop-off place, of which there are lots. And you get a lot of time between the arrival of the ballot and election day.

It’s happening though.

Bro management: Human workers cost too much. automate!
Government someday: Hi guys, we have to tax you significantly more as know we have to provide universal care, a living wage, etc.

It’s a vicious cycle. The problem is the attitude of the people in charge. In my career I have worked with company bosses and I have heard this phrase in various forms more then a few times: It’s not my problem. It’s my successors problem.

That’s why you make it illegal for management to do that. If we have to start seizing rich peoples money or start hailing CEOs than that’s what we need to do. Not shrug our Shoulders and say oh well we tried

For those who spam "But 2016" when polls are mentioned:

Image

If polls missed every state as much as they did in 2016, Biden wins in a landslide of 374 (69.5%) electoral votes.

Biden wins:

Michigan: D +6.2
Nevada: D +5.9
New Hampshire: D +4
Florida: D +3.7
Arizona: D +3
Wisconsin: D + 2.9
Pennsylvania: D +2.7
Georgia: D +2.3
Texas: D +0.4

It’s not the illegals fault it’s the capitalists

It's the fault of both, the illegals and the capitalists who hire them, it's the fault of leftists who support illegal immigration and illegal's rights, like Joe Biden, who calls himself a centrist and the leftist media that likes to portray him as a centrist. Asylum is being abused all over the world as an excuse for open borders illegal immigration. I have been on the Joe Biden website a few times.
