Thing is he won't even get the black vote. Biden clearly has no idea what black people in america feel or think since two of his top veep choices are literally what Black Lives Matter has been protesting against. When I see that, I feel like Biden basically thinks that black people only vote based on race and lack any critical thinking beyond that. How stupid does he think they are?

Actually Bidens top choices are Warren, Demmings, Harris, Bottoms, and Bass. The media has been the ones hyping up Abrams, Harris, and Demmings, while the campaign hasn’t said anything other than those five are on the short list

Demmings and Harris shouldn't even be on the list. And the news media needs to stop hyping up a whiner and two crooked cops.

This decision doesn't do that. This decision says states can require their electors have to vote for the candidate that wins the popular vote in their state, not the popular vote nationwide. This effectively gives states permission to illegalized faithless electors.

Rojava Free State wrote:I saw an interview in which a reporter asked Tammy Duckworth if Biden should pick a black veep and then continued to pester her about it after she said he should pick whoever he thinks is qualified. My two biggest issues with that question are

#1. Why would Duckworth encourage Biden to pick someone other than her?

#2. Biden ought to pick whoever is qualified and not make it a race thing. Currently the top three black women in the running for veep are Kamala Harris, Stacy Abrams, and Val Demmings. Just to go over who they are

Kamala Harris: A crooked prosecutor who abused her power and put innocent men away for years, and severely punished those caught with Marijuana, while simultaneously taking bribes from Trump as he was being investigated for Trump University.

Stacy Abrams: The woman who still won't stop whining and complaining without evidence that the only reason she lost the gubernatorial election in Georgia was because of voter fraud. That's right, in her little fantasy land the only way a Democrat could lose an election in a mainly republican state is due to fraud and not because most people there aren't democrats.

Val Demmings: I'll just leave this quote from her wikipedia page here and let you decide if you want someone like her as veep.

According to a 2015 article in The Atlantic, the Orlando Police Department "has a long record of excessive-force allegations, and a lack of transparency on the subject, dating back at least as far as Demings's time as chief." A 2008 Orlando Weekly exposé described the Orlando Police Department as "a place where rogue cops operate with impunity, and there's nothing anybody who finds himself at the wrong end of their short fuse can do about it." Demings responded with an op-ed in the Orlando Sentinel, arguing that "Looking for a negative story in a police department is like looking for a prayer at church" and added that "It won't take long to find one." In the same op-ed, she cast doubt on video evidence that conflicts with officers' statements in excessive force cases, writing, "a few seconds (even of video) rarely capture the entire set of circumstances."

It needs to be either Duckworth or Warren. Duckworth is a war veteran who was awarded a purple heart and has alot of ideas about how to improve this country, and Warren is an anti establishment candidate. If Val Demmings or Kamala Harris are the veep, i really dont see why I should even go out and vote when they're as pro police reform as Trump is, but more dishonest and not so open about how little they care about justice. And if it's Abrams, Trump will have to do something fucked up like a week before the election to make me vote for Biden. My vote hinges on the veep. If Biden picks Duckworth, I'll vote for him. He picks Kamala or Demmings and he'll get to watch me and basically every black and hispanic person under age 65 stay home on election day.

Also there was fraud in the Georgia election. Kemp ran for Governor while also still being in control of the elections. Here in Georgia the Secretary of State has the power to run and oversee all elections in the state and Kemp remained in that position while running for Governor.

He also made a false claim that the democrats had hacked his office, GBI later found no evidence of such. Then you have the strange power outages and equipment failures in majority black and democrat areas but everything was fine in the White and republican areas.

However because Kemp is the Governor and the republicans control everything there will be no investigation into what happened. The only investigation currently ongoing is being run by the House of Representatives who can’t do much. If Biden wins he needs to have the FBI investigate Kemp and Co

I’d argue that this decision does allow the NPVIC. Because the ruling didn’t say that states couldn’t say that electors have to follow the national popular vote

You know, threatening the voters isn't how you should campaign. Especially being American, it's likely to have the opposite effect.

Politicians have been threatening voters not to vote for the other side since 1796.

I agree with your interpretation here. IIRC the legality of state's controlling the votes of their electors was the biggest legal obstacle to NPVIC.

Imagine thinking that there's any reason to vote for Kanye.

But if we want to revive old staples, he's certainly not Trump.

Well Kanye could potentially split the black/AA vote enough to ensure a Trump victory, thus continuing our current meme oval office.

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms says she has tested positive for COVID-19.

I would imagine she's going to self-quarantine now.

Rojava Free State wrote:~SNIP~

I pretty much plan on backing Biden at this point given who currently occupies that White House though I can understand why some wouldn't vote for Biden. I can safely say Abrams isn't in the mix though Harris and Demings is. That being said, I don't have as much of a problem with Demings as I do with Harris. But if he selects a Black woman, my preference is Bottoms. However, Duckworth is my number one choice.

She did not endorse taking down statues of Washington. She did say this, however, and that is "I think we should listen to the argument there", which is not the same as taking down a statue.

I'm still very much on the fence about the EC. On the one hand, I get the hate of ignoring the popular vote. On the other hand, it's really not fair to have two or three small parts of the country overwhelmingly decide the ruling party. The US needs to go into either a Borda Count system, a parliamentary system, or some hybrid of the two, IMHO.
