According to a 2015 article in The Atlantic, the Orlando Police Department "has a long record of excessive-force allegations, and a lack of transparency on the subject, dating back at least as far as Demings's time as chief." A 2008 Orlando Weekly exposé described the Orlando Police Department as "a place where rogue cops operate with impunity, and there's nothing anybody who finds himself at the wrong end of their short fuse can do about it." Demings responded with an op-ed in the Orlando Sentinel, arguing that "Looking for a negative story in a police department is like looking for a prayer at church" and added that "It won't take long to find one." In the same op-ed, she cast doubt on video evidence that conflicts with officers' statements in excessive force cases, writing, "a few seconds (even of video) rarely capture the entire set of circumstances."

Kamala Harris: A crooked prosecutor who abused her power and put innocent men away for years, and severely punished those caught with Marijuana, while simultaneously taking bribes from Trump as he was being investigated for Trump University.
Stacy Abrams: The woman who still won't stop whining and complaining without evidence that the only reason she lost the gubernatorial election in Georgia was because of voter fraud. That's right, in her little fantasy land the only way a Democrat could lose an election in a mainly republican state is due to fraud and not because most people there aren't democrats.

It needs to be either Duckworth or Warren. Duckworth is a war veteran who was awarded a purple heart and has alot of ideas about how to improve this country, and Warren is an anti establishment candidate. If Val Demmings or Kamala Harris are the veep, i really dont see why I should even go out and vote when they're as pro police reform as Trump is, but more dishonest and not so open about how little they care about justice. And if it's Abrams, Trump will have to do something fucked up like a week before the election to make me vote for Biden. My vote hinges on the veep. If Biden picks Duckworth, I'll vote for him. He picks Kamala or Demmings and he'll get to watch me and basically every black and hispanic person under age 65 stay home on election day.

How dare you go against the flaor-of-the-month narrative?!
But seriously, I've been saying this for months. The top three choices for Veep that the media keeps hammering are all incredible liabilities and eerily similar to Sarah Palin - they would torpedo an extremely senior politician's chances by adding to his vulnerabilities rather than patch them up.San Lumen wrote:And Trump gets a second term and we get a right wing Supreme Court that strikes down any progressive legislation for a generation
Bingo. Biden needs to ignore what the extremely vocal and short-sighted group of the party (that had the lowest voter turnout of any group in the country) is demanding and instead pick a pragmatic VP. IMO picking one of the three aforementioned candidates would yield a net loss - sure, he'd bring in more people who otherwise would not have voted, but he'd turn away more dedicated voters who are uneasy about him.

Thing is he won't even get the black vote. Biden clearly has no idea what black people in america feel or think since two of his top veep choices are literally what Black Lives Matter has been protesting against. When I see that, I feel like Biden basically thinks that black people only vote based on race and lack any critical thinking beyond that. How stupid does he think they are?
