Chinese Pao Cai got into a fight with Korea's Kimchi over appropriation. Who would've thought fermented vegetables would cause this much stir?
Both are still delicious except Korean restaurants give free vegetables and in larger quantities so they win. Still funny watching two foodie paradises fighting over it though

Nestlé, being the ruthless multinational it is, tends to literally suck communities dry in order to bottle up their water for profit. One Nestlé CEO actually said that he did not consider access to drinking water to be a basic human right, which is beyond cold.

I remember that; harsh indeed. Indeed, while all multinational corporations probably have a few skeletons in the cupboard, Nestle -- with their list of scandals -- has more than most.

Sadly, that may not be just a phrase, considering how they aggressively marketing their formula by telling poor mothers in developing countries (who could not afford it, so used as little as possible to make it last longer, potentially leading to malnutrition), who had little to no access to sufficient fresh water, that their formula was better than breastmilk, leaving children up to up to six to 25 times more likely to die of gastrointestinal distress.

Could you put "/pasta" next to "Noodles"? I had to look it up to make sure that the North American term could also cover things like penne.

There are non-Americans on the forum.

Myself, my favourite staples are equally split between pasta and rice.
