Anyways another thing: do NOT p[ut ketchup as a tomato sauce for pizza. My partner's father does that. Don't be like that guy.

On the other hand, gonna say something that would betray other italians: i like carbonara pizza. And ordered one right now for lunch.

I have a 1/4 slab of foie gras wrapped up in my fridge.

From time to time I will eat it with bread and use it as a spread with some wine to drink.

Blood tofu. Tried making a beef noodle soup that called for blood tofu, lemongrass, etc. I didn't like the texture and tasted kinda bland. The soup itself is still good without blood but at least I got to try something new

I've got some miso paste and dashi granules for making soup, as well as a couple different flavors of mochi in my freezer.

Thousand Island sounds totally Asian, but it is American. Huh. Not that I mind, of course. It was just that it seems to be something that Asians would totally name something. We usually tend to have fancy names for stuff sometimes. ^^;

I think they imagine burgers, McDonalds, fried chicken, maybe those Texan beef roasts?

I know the burger wasn’t an American invention but hey it’s part of the American branding now

Though Japanese cuisine (especially in Japan itself) is truly amazing and I love their focus on fresh ingredients,

I’d lean towards Italian as my favorite.

Pasta dishes (lasagna and linguini) plus pizza are just too good. Florence also has these amazing steaks.

As a non-American, yeah, that's what I usually think of. Burgers, quite an amount of bacon, fries (but not all the time, as I saw), steak, so on.

I don't equate it to junk food. A burger doesn't have to come from a fast food place all the time, but I imagine that it's something Americans eat as food, mostly homecooked burgers, steaks, salad, etc. ♥
