Wouldn't no garlic or ginger mean not eating most Asian cuisines?

No problem. There are substitutes of them in many dishes. And no one knows how many kinds of food there is in Asia.

Ginger is ok as a spice, but eating it as a veggie is bleh.
Same goes for garlic.

I don’t mind it in Asian cuisine for flavoring

But where I personally draw the line is where you deliberately seek to it out specifically (I wouldn’t)

If that makes sense :)

Really? We often cut and use garlic to cook many things from chicken to soto (curry[?]), things that needs a lot of spices, and when it's served I would often pick and eat those garlic slices specifically. Dunno why.

What I mean is that I’ve been trained to use garlic, onion, and ginger in cooking (when doing Chinese especially); I do appreciate the effects on the aroma and flavoring

However, after it’s cooked, I make efforts to avoid directly eating the stuff if it makes sense; I’ll pick them out if I can

And I definitely would not go for anything specifically onion or garlic focused :)

It’s one of my picky habits

For the last part, yes my dude/sis.

I have tasted ginger candy and stuff. It sucks big time. It's so bitter I would prefer freaking broccoli...

Yes garlic and ginger pastes are a massive part of Asian cooking. Chinese, Thai, Indian they all involve using garlic and ginger.

I have a genetic predispostion that causes me to taste large amounts of ginger or cilantro as SOAP. So a little is good, but trying to eat crystallized ginger leads to me gagging.

It may be that way for people who dislike garlic.

I will never need to fear a vampire, for all the garlic I eat. :D

And roasting it makes it sweet and soft enough to spread like butter. Delicious.

Whatever Ainsley Harriot is cooking up must be pretty good. I should try that out.

I never heard of that before. The links were interesting reading, although it's a shame for you.

I have something similar with cruciferous vegetables -- which is why I use so many sauces and spices in cooking: they simply taste too bitter on their own. It's been suggested that this might be the cause.

And roasted garlic... *makes lip-smacking noises*

It looks delicious

Shenzhen has a nice place where they put smaller crayfish into a special dark soy sauce

It’s absolutely delicious as you bite into the soft meat

Never tasted crayfish(wow!) before, but it looks tasty.

Also is it healthy to eat at McDonalds for two days?

I wouldn't go for three days in a row.... McDonald's is, as Cookie Monster would put it, "a sometimes food".

I'd feel so bad eating crayfish. My uncle loved those things... ugh. Why do they look so tasty, though?!
