I do BLT, minus the tomatoes. Might add them back some time soon, but that’s what I’m used to.

BLT is good.

I also like turkey, "pizza" flavour, and spicy Italian

In fact, I just had Subway yesterday. It was a nice Italian with honey mustard sauce and lots of pickles. =)

I don't like roast turkey. I think its meat is too tough.I think that the meat is not infused with as much flavor and juices as chicken meat is during the cooking process. It is less flavorful, and less succulent and juicy. Overall the texture, taste and flavor are worse. Maybe it's my preference. I like there are some fat content in the meat, which makes it taste good when it's chewed

It's easy to not cook turkey properly and have it result in that sort of experience, yeah.

But when it's cooked by someone who knows what they're doing? Oh baby.

That sounds like you are getting turkeys that are not very good quality meat, poorly prepared and/or poorly cooked.

Admittedly turkey can be a bit tricky to cook right. One trick is to brine it first, soak it in ice cold salt water mixed with other seasonings and maybe some cider, etc for at least 8 hours before cooking.

also when making sandwiches don't use sliced turkey, use cut up chunks.

The only food with onions as the main ingredient which I really like are onion rings.

My main issue with onions is the texture. So many nice sloppy joes ruined by random onions thrown in, throwing you off completely as you bit into the nice soft patty, and lo, there was a random cubed crunchy onion! What diabolical maniac would do this to your nerves!

Oh, and they don’t taste THAT good. Come on, there’s no reason to put onions on pizza. Stop doing this to yourself.

Oh yeah, I hate crunchy onions. I prefer when they become soft from cooking into stews and mix with other flavors.

I also can't stand them on pizzas. I don't mind the flavor, but their texture doesn't fit, especially when I bite into one hidden in the cheese and other toppings without expecting it.

bleeeuuugh

The rest of my family loves them on pizzas though for some reason, so I usually try to pick them out when they order one with onions. (yes, I am a heretic who sometimes picks certain ingredients out of my food).

Refrigerate onions before cutting.
Cut with a SHARP knife. If the knife is blunt, it breaks the cell walls and produces more aerosolized onion droplets.

Or you can cut the onion under water. Do use a fork to fixate the union because it will be extra slippery.
And this method is only useful if you make onion rings or slices, not for cubes.

You could wear goggles, or try contact lenses.

If you are going to refrigerate the onions, do it for at least 20 minutes. You can put them in the freezer for about 10/15 minutes.

That reminds me of a Vietnamese dish I get -- I don't recall the name, but it's grilled pork served over vermicelli, with lettuce, mint, pickled leeks, pickled carrot, pickled onion and cucumber -- you make a sort of roll with all the yummy stuff inside the lettuce and dip it into a clear sort of orange-tinged thin sauce, and eat it.

Sounds similar to bún thịt nướng. I think I've probably seen it a few times in phở restaurants or maybe at home. I don't know if all of those ingredients were together in that way when my family eats or in that site, but "grilled pork over vermicelli" definitely fits what I'd expect from bún thịt nướng.

Aye, that's Vietnamese cuisine—
Speaking of which, I was eating bún bò Huế earlier and they forgot to add pork blood which is the hecking sad for me since that's pretty much why I eat it.
