Tonight dinner:
Patatas bravas, broccoli, chives (nira) kimchi and bbq sausages and ofcourse some mayonnaise

Why is it weird? Because normally we don't have nira kimchi but make our own korean dip. Vinegar, soy sauce,
Sesame seeds, liberal amounts of extra spicy chilly flakes, garlic.

You gave me inspiration for “the craziest/worse mix:”

Imagine if you mixed kimchi with mayonnaise on penne pasta and ate that with a soybean drink

Yikes

Mayo's one of the main ingredients in yum yum sauce, so there's some justification there :p

My father used to make peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwiches. Absolutely disgusting but I guess he liked it.

I just love how cursed the previous posts have been, and how mayonnaise is an integral part of booking a ticket to hell.

Mayo is good stuff. Spread on the outer surfaces of a grilled cheese before griddling, it makes a wonderful crispy crust. Mix in herbs and spices, citrus zest, all sorts of things and use it as a marinade for meat. I promotes browning and keeps the herbs and spices and things from burning.

I’m not a fan of mayo.

But then I like olive oil (and I know many people don’t)

I mean, I love mayo myself and I usually consume a bottle in a few weeks.

Talking about sauce, i am almost done with my 12 packets of chili sauce.

That's a very important part of mayo right?

I love extra vierge olive oil.

We make our own garlic spicy sauce, ketchup, hot curry spices, garlic (at least 4 cloves), extra hot chilli flakes (at least a dinner spoon full) and if available, ghost bell pepper sambal (just a dash).
We eat it with shoarma, green beans and pita bread.

At least it's better to be rubbed in hot sauce than in mint jelly. :(

That spicy sauce sounds good. Hot, but good.

I love olive oil. It's the oil I use most in cooking (sunflower oil, if the recipe calls for it).

On fries, certainly. On bread ? Not so much. But the composition and texture is quite different from the hellmans stuff.
Also flavours vary from country to country - the Belgian stuff is quite sour, the Dutch relatively sweet.

Of course, if you truly want to talk controversial foodstuffs, we can talk about tea and how that should never go near a microwave OR milk.

American mayonnaise

Ingredients: :
Vegetable oil soybean and canola, water, distilled vinegar, egg yolk, high fructose corn syrup, contains less than 2 percent of salt, spice mustard seed, calcium disodium EDTA to protect flavor.

Dutch mayonnaise
ingredients
Serves 1 1/4

1 tbsp Lemon juice
1 tsp Mustard (yellow or dijon)
1 Pinch Salt
1 cup Sunflower oil
1 tbsp White wine vinegar
1 Egg (organic or pasteurized)

It seems I was mistaken. Most ppl make mayo with sunflower oil, well if we make it, we use olive oil..

Belgian

INGREDIENTS
2 egg yolks
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
salt & pepper
1 tablespoon cold water
400 ml salad oil
