Why is looting justified?

The looting is a response to a culture that values the commodity over human life and has instilled that mindset into the membership society, that the commodity-and by extension, private property, are what is important, all else be damned. We would then come to understand, from such a point of view, why looters and rioters feel that the only valid manner of expression is one that attacks the commodity, that threatens its sacred place in the cultural hegemon.
