It would also be accurate, as not all lives can actually matter; if all lives mattered, then obviously no live could have an value. Do black rapist lives matter, do black murderer lives matter, how about the lives of black drive-by(ers)... Because for some reason that last group loves shooting 5-year-olds in my city. Do these black lives matter, no, they do not; these black lives do not matter whatsoever. I'd make the same augment to anyone who honestly believes all lives matter, as such a person values the lives of others as or with little to nothing. ALM only real purpose is to counter the vailed assertions of BLM without having to actually negate it's most immediate premise; as a saying it does this with expert precision and I recommend all living beings retort with ALM to BLM.

It's not equally easy for everyone to be "law abiding". The bad neighbourhood offers less as an alternative to doing crime, mental illness affects judgement of what even is a crime, and most of all there is family upbringing. Some kids don't have good impulse control, estimation of risks and rewards, and other rational skills that would keep them away from crime. Through no fault of their own, they just never learned those skills from parents or teachers.

I do think "news from America" suffers by it being such a big country. Bad stuff like mass shootings make the news every time, but it's only because of the scale of population that they appear as an ongoing problem.

If Australia had a rioting problem right now, it wouldn't appear all that big. Because we only have three, maybe four, cities big enough to be centers of rioting. And with less than a tenth of the US's population, riots could go a week or more without even one person being killed.

Police, as an institution, are racist. By being a member of that institution, a police officer is perpetuating that racism, and thus is racist regardless of what their personal beliefs are.

Well that's a pretty bold and baseless statement. Have you ever considered that there's officers, judges, COs okay let's face it, not COs, they're all twats, lawyers, etc. actively trying to make change and reroute the way the system works? No, you haven't, because you don't care to think about that possibility. You demand change but don't want anyone who knows the police life to make that change because they're rACiSt for being a police officer. And if you're so hell bent on calling everything racist, then fine, cool. Guess I'm racist. Are you happy now? Do you feel better? Do you feel like you've done something meaningful? Or is your job done now?

Obviously not, because I don't seek to throw names around. That's not what I want to see done. What I want to see done is police abolition.

Individual officers are not perpetuating racism by being police officers. Anything to do with prosecution goes to the judge or lawmakers. We have nothing to do with it UNLESS we are actively being racist, or trying to get laws and SOPs changed to better benefit vulnerable communities; i.e. sending only police officers to deal with suicidal people. It's a medical emergency, should have EMS there first with police only stepping in if there's weapons involved.

By participating in and helping enforce a racist system, every member of that system is racist. This is not too difficult to understand.
