The Indo-European symbol is just, well it looks like a wheel with a + sign on the center.

Nazis aligning themselves with the police? Huh.

To get people like us to pay attention to them, that's why. We're being trolled.
A number of far-right groups and individuals have utilised the symbol in their propaganda, including the Christchurch mosque shooter, Australian neo-Nazi group Antipodean Resistance, and Ukrainian far-right National Guard regiment Azov Battalion.[11] The symbol was displayed by members of several extremist groups involved in the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.[12]

What, exactly, is ambiguous about this?A number of far-right groups and individuals have utilised the symbol in their propaganda, including the Christchurch mosque shooter, Australian neo-Nazi group Antipodean Resistance, and Ukrainian far-right National Guard regiment Azov Battalion.[11] The symbol was displayed by members of several extremist groups involved in the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.[12]

The Black Sun (German: Schwarze Sonne) is a Nazi symbol, a type of sun wheel (German: Sonnenrad)[1][2] employed in a post-Nazi Germany context by neo-Nazis and some occult subcultures, such as Satanism.
If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck it might be a Satanist.
Very first line of your source, jeez.
If they were neo-Nazis and they wanted everyone to know about it, they'd have brought a Swastika. No ambiguity in that.
If they were neo-Nazis and they only wanted other neo-Nazis to know, they'd have brought something more obscure.
I conclude that they are trolls, who want attention without coming out for Nazism OR for Satanism.

Imagine generalizing people without due process. Mind you, I support reforming the police AND due process at the same time.
Common sense is rare these days.

Alternatively, they might be betting on centrists defending the use of a specific symbol, thus trolling the centrists while also dispalying their nazi iconography to everyone in the know.

Due process? I am not a court of law, I am not bound by the standards set for a criminal conviction. Besides, being a fascist is not a crime.
However, I'm not calling all cops fascists. I'm saying that some cops are fascists, which is undeniable. Far right groups have infiltrated many law enforcement agencies in the US.
