Where is my favorite Republican president, Silent Cal? Not only was he a true small-government conservative, but he was the only president born on the Fourth of July.

Either Calvin Coolidge (for giving natives citizenship) or William McKinley (for making America a world power militarily). Taft and, to a lesser extent, Teddy Roosevelt put an end to the monopolies, which is also admirable.

Definitely not war criminal Abe Lincoln, who shut down media outlets for disagreeing with him and massacred Native Americans. It's also definitely not Ronald Reagan, who opposed the Civil Rights Act, and the Voting Rights act, and the Fair Housing Act. Though I don't think either of them were the worst Republican president either, with that distinction most likely falling to president Benjamin Harrison, the president whose troops carried out the Wounded Knee Massacre, for which he bestowed on them the Medal of Honor.

Teddy, Ike and Lincoln, easy. For obvious reasons.

Also, shoutout to Coolidge for being an absolute prankster. Terrible president, but what a prankster.

Conserative Morality wrote:"It's not time yet" is a tactic used by reactionaries in every era. "It's not time for democracy, it's not time for capitalism, it's not time for emancipation." Of course it's not time. It's never time, not on its own. You make it time. If you're under fire in the no-man's land of WW1, you start digging a foxhole even if the ideal time would be when you *aren't* being bombarded, because once you wait for it to be 'time', other situations will need your attention, assuming you survive that long. If the fields aren't furrowed, plow them. If the iron is not hot, make it so. If society is not ready, change it.

Coolidge also has a pet Raccoon (while I guess his wife had it really) name Rebecca (I guess all raccoon names must start with an R?) that would free roam the White House, unscrewing the lightbulbs and opening any drawer she could reach. The Raccoon also participated in the Egg Roll. I mean that is pretty boss too.

Teddy had the coolest pet collection though.

Zombie Ike/Teddy Roosevelt 2020.

Novus America represents my vision of an awesome Atompunk near future United States of America expanded to the entire North American continent, Guyana and the Philippines. The population would be around 700 million.
Think something like prewar Fallout, minus the bad stuff.

Politically I am an independent. I support what is good for the country, which means I cannot support either party.

After thinking about it some, I've decided my favorite Republican president was Warren G. Harding. Too bad that he's not on the list...

Catholic Libertarian. Gov't has no authority, all authority is from God. God grants us free will, gov't should not infringe upon it. Legislating morality is wrong. Only exception is protecting rights to life, liberty, and property. Abortion is killing an infant, one of the few things gov't should prevent. Pro-Trump, he's been an effective weapon against real enemies of freedom: The Left, but I wish he were more for free trade, more against deficits. Unrestrained capitalism is a great thing; it does wonders for standards of living of everyone, especially the poor.
