It's chaos. Once a riot happens rather than a peaceful protest, a lot of rationality goes out the window.

Although I strongly sympathise with the anger, I can't help but despair when I see things like the rioters beating some random poor bastard either half to death or to death.

I think your first mistake is using the same "they" to describe a very, very broad and unorganized mass of people dispersed across a vast geographical area who are engaging in a wide variety of actions and with unknown amounts of actual overlap. People setting black people's businesses on fire in the middle of protests are not necessarily active participants in them nor necessarily hold the same motivations.

In short: don't overgeneralize.

Japanese people generally don't cause excessive trouble. I heard a story of an innocent guy who was on death row for ten years, not knowing everyday whether he'll live or die. Since he was aquitted, he took to protesting the injustices of Japan's legal system, by setting up an operation in front of some court house or something, with nothing but a few signs and maybe a megaphone. No rioting, not looting, no nothing

…I think America must see that riots do not develop out of thin air. Certain conditions continue to exist in our society which must be condemned as vigorously as we condemn riots. But in the final analysis, a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it that America has failed to hear? It has failed to hear that the plight of the Negro poor has worsened over the last few years. It has failed to hear that the promises of freedom and justice have not been met. And it has failed to hear that large segments of white society are more concerned about tranquility and the status quo than about justice, equality, and humanity. And so in a real sense our nation’s summers of riots are caused by our nation’s winters of delay. And as long as America postpones justice, we stand in the position of having these recurrences of violence and riots over and over again. Exactly. The anger is understandable (although I do think lacking in introspection, again our governments are elected) but now we have accelerationist sociopaths murdering and pillaging in places, which is obviously not helping.

I believe that many of the people responsible for those things are trying to discredit the real protesters.

It's a possibility, but as a general rule I try not to assign ulterior motives to that sort of thing. Sometimes a protest turns violent because individuals within the group want to be violent. Sometimes it's just random, uninvolved people who saw an opportunity in the unrest to cause harm with impunity.

That said, the amount of stuff that's been circulating about suspicious people inciting violence in otherwise peaceful protests does raise alarm. And agent provocateurs are a real thing.

Pointing out a general problem is one thing. Finding actually implementable solutions and implementing them? That has been lacking.
