It actually makes some sense.
The lock downs leave people in desperation and poverty so people get angry and riot, but that fixes nothing, just makes it worse. The lock downs are no doubt part of the cause of despair and anger. But of course rioting does not fix the disease.

Rioting is never acceptable but there will come a point where lockdowns have to be lifted whether Governor’s or mayors want to or not. The longer it keeps up the more businesses will fail and the more poverty will be created and that creates the potential for even more unrest

That does not make destroying property or lawlessness acceptable in any way

I suppose that is the benefit of being in the cities, where the marketplace of ideas is much more robust.

Sure he has not done nearly enough to fix the problem either. But still one cannot say he is the root cause of Minneapolis’ problems.

Maybe, although I think it is more the entire right vs left dichotomy has turned the political debate into two bad camps, without much an alternative. My ideas are too syncretic, both the left and right would only except the ones aligning with their side.

But I hardly see a robust marketplace of ideas in places like Baltimore City.
They hate the government while re electing the same people from the same party. And both parties are failed.
