Just saw a sickening video from New York City of a police officer plowing into a group of protesters. What the heck has this country become? I hope that officer is fired. I am seriously questioning if I want to become a cop anymore.

Been seeing reports that my hometown had a massive protest, and that it stayed peaceful. Wish I could go out right now and add a voice to the ones here, but I'm seriously at-risk re: Covid-19, and pepper spray/tear gas plus my health conditions is basically a death wish. If you're still wanting to get into emergency services of some kind and are leaning away from being a cop, I might suggest firefighting, lifeguarding, or something along those lines. Straightforward work with little to no room for corruption to crack in, but still saving and helping people.

And yet, BLM has lasted for over half a decade now, longer than most people are in school, and the second wave is just as large as the first.

America is a wonderful country with many great people, and whilst far, far from perfect, it's one of the most free countries out there, is a nation of great innovators and a place where many people have great oppertunities.

Having said that, however, geez there's a lot of crazy people in America, and (at least in the cities), you don't have to look too far to find the crazies. Case in point- two cops randomlly kill a few people in Minnesota, and because of that people at thr opposite ends of the country are looting, starting fires and protesting in the most violent ways possible. You can't tell me that those are the actions of sane people.

And yes, I understand the need to protest the horrific conduct of these cops, and support the cause, however, protesting is one thing, whilst starting a violent riot and turning violent is another thing altogether. I would support a peaceful protest. But I digress...

How did America end up with so many crazies? I wonder if it has anything to do with omnipresence of lead.

Anyways, as said earlier, whilst far from perfect, America is a lovely country and I wish you guys all the best with these protests (and Covid too, for that matter). I hope for a speedy solution to all this madness
