Then when we had an arguement and broke the friendship he pledged to destroy all my nations and bar me from ever playing again as his revenge.

Uh... Does he still play?

Idk. He recently made a huge mistake in starting a French Civil War forum thread wherein his Royals and Military fought against a rebellious religious faction. The thread died and thus his main nation died with it. Or at least I think it's going to collapse. I reckon it's gonna be like last time when he left his nation alone for 27 days and logged in at the last second.

Well, as a wise skeleton said, "Interesting".

You know how youtube channel pages have those little icons on the bottom right, to social medias and so on? Some guy linked his NS nation on there and I clicked on it. Fun fact: my first nation was named Kazbulikstan. Wait, that was six years ago? Guess I'll bring it back to life, then.

I used to be on NationStates under a different name a few years ago - I can't quite remember exactly how I first discovered it. I think I had an interest in nation simulation/worldbuilding beforehand and I gravitated towards NS for those reasons. I came back after leaving it for a while because I fondly remembered the NS forums and felt that they were more conducive to in-depth discussion than most social media, as weird as that might seem!

50% of my friends at school played it and I thought it was for social studies. The thing was, I never heard about it in social studies. They played NS for at least a year until I asked them about it. The only reason THEY played it is/was because it's one of the only unblocked games on the school-issued chromebooks. So I started to play and now I'm addicted to it.

I first stumbled across it back in 2013/14 - I think I just googled 'make your own country' or something, and ended up here. I made a few different nations but got bored of them pretty quickly. About a year ago I rediscovered this site after suddenly remembering it and, after a few other unsuccessful attempts, decided to create this nation, which is the first one I've actually stuck with for longer than a week. I'm glad I did.

If I remember, I found it via a game server on Tribes 2 back in the day. One of the guy's on the server played NS at the time (not sure if he still does or not) and I joined it at that time. I haven't tried to find out of he still is on it or not, but that was nearly 16 years ago. It will be 16 years this September.

I think I was quite young about 11-12ish and googling games where you run countries. Those were the days! I can't even remember what the countries I made were called. I've had this one since 2012, and the first ones were definitely a long time before that as I took a break. Didn't really understand it being that young.

About 15 years ago, someone (it may have been Xanneria) mentioned NationStates on another message board I was on. I was intrigued, joined as Wrecker and enjoyed it for a year and a half. Last year, Xan mentioned it on a group chat he and I are on and I decided to give it another whirl. I've been here since.
