Why is Leftist Cali poorer than Rightist Texas?

I'm asking this because of a recent video published by Prager University showing how Leftwing Democratic majority Californians are fleeing the state en masse and establishing themselves at Right Wing Republican Texas.

https://youtu.be/6Svc7GLUqd4

So here are some details.

Leftist Ideology despite obviously looking out for the common man or aiming for equality in their ideas, have produced MASSIVE income inequality in China, Russia and even the American State of California.

Here's a map showing the fastest growing States when it comes to Income Inequality.

Leftist Democratic California is number 2 in income inequality growth while Rightwing Republican Texas has among the slowest growing income inequality.

Also, California which has Gun Control Laws which are much more stringent than Free wheeling Texas also has a higher homicide rate.

The cost of living is also extremely high in Democratic majority areas but low in Republican areas.

Oh man, why am I advertising Texas like this? All the people will see this and then destroy the state with their oppurtunism and lack of meritocracy.

yeah, i hope you do realize that there are structural differences in the economies of California and Texas that lead to different growth dynamics

Have you been living under a rock or are you just unaware of the massive income growth associated with Silicon Valley that has been largely concentrated among the tech class of the San Francisco area?

California is also a richer state per capita btw, at #16. Numbers 1, 2, and 3 are DC, CT, and NJ.

I mean it could be the fact that with rich people moving into California those who lived there cannot afford the stupidly high rents and therefore has to leave the state. Then also I'd imagine poor people from California being significantly more leftist than from any other state. 1. California is leftist. 2. They are poor and likely have benefited from leftist policies in california and therefore vote for them. But why specifically texas? Dunno, I am neither a American citizen nor demographer so I have no special knowledge on this.

Oh, well.

Anyway, there are three types of lies: lies, damn lies, and statistics.

I'm not a liberal or a leftist, but PragerU is hardly a good source to demonstrate which state is better. It is propaganda.

Look, I'm not here to defend SF, I was there once for three hours and that was just to see the painted sisters and meet up with an old coworker.

Seemed like nothing particularly special.

lol, the average poor-middle class person in the left area of California are middle-upper middle class in most other areas of the nation.

That heavily depends on the area of California. California as a whole isn't insanely that much richer than the nation as a whole.

Really don't think that CA is any worse than anywhere else I've lived, really, but obviously ymmv

The cost of living expenses of California is what balances it out.

As if there aren't high taxes and strict gun control in New England, as if the South doesn't have a whole bevy of problems, and as if the infrastructure on the Eastern seaboard wasn't falling apart.

All I'm saying is that I've lived plenty of places in the US, visited plenty more, and there's not really anywhere with extraordinarily green grass, imo. Each region has it's nice perks and it's annoying flaws.
