But I'm glad you're willing to ignore the fact that most right wing areas generally don't support civilian owned firearms or definitely support socioeconomic advantages for the rich. It's really explains why your arguments don't tend to hold up.

yeah, sure

Generally most right-wing dictatorship's first policy is to remove as much power from the people as possible and that includes stomping down on things like civilian ownership of weapons.

The US, Canada, and Switzerland are really the only areas of the world where the Right-Wing of their nations actively supports civilian weapon ownership.

Having lived in California and having relatives in Texas, I'll try my best to explain everything possible for this topic.

1) Yes California has a lot of homeless, but it's also got 40 million people. That's more than Canada. So yes the majority of the homeless in the USA will be in the state that has 12% of the national population. That's just basic math. More people means more homeless because there are more people.

2) Texas may seem better of than California, but it isn't. Texas was built off of oil. Specifically expensive oil. So when oil is cheap, the Texan economy suffers since it is very oil reliant. Meanwhile California has an incredibly diverse economy that is the 6th largest in the world with a roughly $80,000 GDP per capita. This is not far off from Switzerland's GDP per capita. So no, California is not poor. Nor is Texas, but California is a lot richer and also has way higher salaries.

3) California has some of the highest US salaries. But at the same time, it's got the highest cost of living. Texas does significantly better in this regard since it has lower taxes and a lower cost of living. But when it comes to infrastructure, both states are similar in that the roads need desperate work and the railroads are in need of funding.

4)Texas is not so right wing. Shocking? I hope not. Yes Texas is often viewed as being a bastion of the Republican Party, but it has turned more purple recently thanks to Democrats doing better in local elections. California is not so left wing either, with Republicans controlling sizeable chunks of the state. So to say one is left wing and the other is right wing is a bit off since both are not so clear cut in their definitions (California used to be Republican, and Texas used to be Democratic back in the early to mid 20th century).

Notice that I didn't bring up guns? Well yes guns are part of American "culture" by this point, but frankly most people will choose to live where they will have a better life and not where it is legal to own a fully operational M1 Abrams tank. And when it comes to it, if you don't mind taxes and you've got a well paying job, California is the place to live. But is you want to live on a budget, or California is too expensive, then Texas makes more sense. But if I had to choose, California would be my pick. After all, only the cities are really expensive, and the varied geography and mixture of cultures makes California really unique.

And by right-wing world standards, when it comes to firearms it's a right wing area and by right-wing American standards its economic model is something the entire country should follow.

1. Because it'd be nice if you could keep some consistency with your ideals.
2. Well the US was basically like that until the 1920's where women generally weren't seen as people, so we'd only have to regress 100 years to get to that point.

I don't think it was ever meant to be railed, it's one man's diatribe against his home state because of his shitty life circumstances, maybe his trailer is leaking or something.
