I think the question "what would Jesus do?" isn't likely to be answered with "enslave other sentient beings."

In this brave new world, with us as the galaxy's master, no human would ever be a slave or anything like it. All other lifeforms are plants or animals, fungi and so on, and while we are called to be responsible and sustainable in our exploitation of nature, the fact is ordained by God Himself that we have Dominion over all life.

Our only responsibility to aliens is that we use them sustainably and not cause undue pain and suffering when using them for our labor, livestock, and sustinence. We should treat our alien servants as a good, sustainable farmer treats cows. The matter is that they cannot be slaves in the human sense because they are not men.

All alien lieforms exist to serve all humans. There are no exceptions and certainly no equals. I hope that you are picking up what I am putting down.

The only way I could ever see awarding human rights to an alien is if the alien society demonstrated a spectacular, truly worthy act that recalls the valor, gallantry, and glory of men: particularly, self-sacrificial acts to protect the innocent, defend a stranger, and for other such things that human soldiers (and humans in general) get medals. I would also award them to a civilization that stepped in to save us, for the same reasons.

Aliens exist to serve men. The domination of all non-human life and sustainable exploitation of the galaxy is the ultimate secular goal of mankind, which includes acquiring alien livestock and assets. If an alien could hypothetically prove themselves worthy, I'm sure that freeman's residency is acceptable.

I'm sick of "domination", "make slavery" ideologies.
