I'm glad you approve of a system that requires a permit for anything but a shotgun. Permits are a great idea.

I'm pretty sure shotguns fall under the regular license where you can own Semi-Autos.

The point is they have licensing. Records are kept of who owns each gun. This alone would vastly improve the US system.

US system isn't perfect but its okay. Not the best, not the worst. They still have restrictions on who should have it. While in Switzerland you have to get trained (Hence conscription)

I'm somewhat sympathetic to conscription (with alternative service). But it's obviously not on the table in NZ ...

To be frank, she hasn't really given us anything beyond good crisis management. Before 2019 and quite a lot of the time through it, it was "oh we promised to build 10,000 new houses a year, but we've only managed to get 700 and something completed, all of which were signed off by the previous government."

Greens aren't in the OP poll but they'll get my party vote, Labour will likely get my electorate vote unless by some misfortune I move to Epsom in the next three months. I don't want Labour to be ruling alone like they are on the latest polls, I want the Greens to be able to leverage some decent concessions out of them for a coalition/C&S and definitely want to see them above 5%.

Can't see that happening unless Labour's support drops and New Zealand First doesn't make it back in.
