Justice Ginsburg in hospital with infection

Postby Greed and Death » Tue May 05, 2020 7:38 pm

So it appears Ginsburg is in the hospital with a Gallstone related infection. She plans to attend oral arguments tomorrow by phone from the hospital. I am concerned this may put stress on her and make her condition worse. I am also concerned she might be exposed to Covid-19.

So NSG what are you fears and concerns with this ? Is it time for her to retire and enjoy what few years she has left in comfort while Trump appoints a "centrist" to replace her ?

Never heard of her until reading the OP. Regardless, I hope she will be okay.

You know, whether you agree with her or not, she’s a fighter alright.

Seriously 87 and still kickin in the highest court of the land, weathering numerous medical complications including cancer.

If she does kick the bucket this time, I hope whoever is appointed afterwards is as good as she is.

Maybe you know her by her judicial pen name Notorious RBG ?

Well? I am sure there are conservatives excited for her not being able to do her job. The talk of this is a conservative seat(made for scalia) is forgotten and the seat should be filled by a conserviative

Hey at least SCOTUS is doing stuff by phone now so even though she's not doing good she can still hopefully partake in the courts business.

Or die. But I'm sure it wouldn't matter, because conservatives believe you shouldn't appoint supreme court picks in an election year. Right?

SCOTUS should get terms for ten years or so. Would fix a lot of drama around it.

And travesties like surrounding Ginsburg.

She has a gallbladder condition and infection. I doubt she has been exposed to COVID-19. But if she has, the condition and infection won't help. Apparently she us is resting and currently has no discomfort after nonsurgical treatment.

Gallstones eh? That probably means something in hippie pathology, holding in the negative energy of urine I think. Too many long days at the bench, busting for a piss but nodding sagely instead.

She's not seriously ill. This thread is a rick-roll.

There is no known cause in diet or lifestyle which causes gallstones. Some people get them, some don't. The probability of getting one goes up with age.

The woman is old, she got a gallstone. It doesn't mean anything.

"in hospital with infection" is just greed and death clickbaiting us. My god she's got covid-19, she will probably die. NOT.

It's not really clickbait, she got an infection from said gallstone, and given her age that's nothing to scoff at.

The whole gallbladder can be removed without serious risk.

It's quite obscene for greed and death to be speculating about her getting covid-19 just by being in hospital. It's ludicruous to be discussing her successor.

You may continue on the line of discussion which greed and death has opened up. Maybe you'd like to indulge G&D in his fantasies.

One more thing. Remember how liberals here gloated over the death of Antonin Scalia? Not that much, as I recall. Do try to return the favor and don't gloat over the death of a liberal Justice who is still very much alive.

Absolutely disgusted. Leaving the thread.

Ginsburg today from the hospital. She sounds like she is struggling during the first 30 seconds.

Comment section on that video is a fucking cesspool.

Hopefully RBG recovers swiftly, she's tough as nails but she's been in and out of hospital for some time now, and I do worry that she might be in pretty bad shape. I'd say regardless of where one is politically, they can admit that losing RBG would ultimately be quite sad. I loathed Scalia's judicial interpretations, for instance, but his death was still quite a loss overall.
