So many Europeans are of indigenous stock but inherit their language and some genes from ancient invaders?

Well the mummies found in the Tarim Basin were very tall nordic types so Europids have been all over central asia and those mummies were nordic-type not the brown eyed dark haired but moderately light skinned Yamnaya. I bet the descendants of these people were what came to be known as the "black Germans" because in contrast.. to blonde-blue/green eyed kinds they were "black".

They must have been almost direct descendants of the Yamnya.

So we could infer that light skin populations in Europe might be the closest in heritage to the original Yamnaya, and that darker skin, darker haired Europeans have more admixture from other groups besides the Yamnaya.

The Yamnaya were slightly more swarthy but still "moderately light" .. the women remaining fair would be because the Yamnaya killed the men and took the Neolithic women and women tend to inherit more from their phenotype from mothers line. Right? There were more swarthy kinds in the west too on the British Isles. A tribe called the Silures gave the Romans hell. Tacitus described them as haveing been swarthy with curly dark hair. The Yamnaya hair was straight/wavy (soft) not curly - but dark.

Their physical appearance doesn't sound like that of the Celts, so they may have crossed over from Spain.
