I was thinking about that but it was basically a far-right rally fighting counter protesters so it doesn’t fit his criteria. Even though the protest was so odious on its own it demonstrates the point.

Of course, if said peaceful protest happens to have neo-nazis and white supremacists in it, it strikes as unreasonable to get mad when such is pointed out.

Trump has not been assisting on the matter, choosing to be a divisive force rather than a unifying one. Those that hang off of Trump’s every word with the devotion of a religious zealot have little rationale to blame the other side for being divisive. They’ll do it anyway, though.

That being said, there is bias in the media. You can’t stop that. Fox, CNN, BBC, all of ‘em. You just gotta read each story and parse through the commentary to identify the facts of the matter. Outright denial of extant facts though does nobody any favors.

Bringing this back to Biden, I doubt that this will have much of an effect on the election in the long run. The folks voting against were going to do so anyway, and the folks voting for him will still do so. The Swing voters will mostly be decided on the campaign trail.
