Let's see. You don't like face masks. You don't like lockdowns. You don't like contact tracing apps, and you live in thr epicentre of the virus. Okay then, since you don't actually want people to die, what would you do to mitigate it?

Seriously though she sees the cash withdraws from the bank. As policy I would rather not spread around my debit card numbers to the world. So even when we go on vacation I will pull a wad of cash before we go, and spend that.
I like cash too

Australia is closing its borders for three years? That's insane

True, but you have been destroying theatres, concerts etc. for years.
Without realising it probably, never thinking about how you were being a little vampire sucking the life out of everything.
Just like almost everybody else was doing without thinking about it.
But now you have a chance to change and rescue those things you claim to love ! All you need to do is thinking about how society should change to be less wasteful.

...what the actual fuck are you talking about? The symptoms of the cold were described in The Ebers Papyrus which was written at about 1550 BC, and has likely been with humanity for even longer than that, but it just wasn't documented.

Yeah, you can tell Google not to but won't stop you being tracked. Turn off bluetooth AND wireless when you leave the house, because they both send out a unique number which other phones (that more promiscuous information users have installed certain aps on) report back to the ap developer. Probably to Google too.
This is where it really gets scary for people who are afraid of government tracking. Google is a huge company which makes it's money knowing things about the users, yet somehow that doesn't bother the anti-government people. They're not even bothered that Google will sell information, they're all "government should get a warrant" and they haven't read the contracts they ticked OK to. The scary bit? It's not just Google. They don't know who actually made half the aps on their phone. It could be government. It could be China's government. It could be fucking anybody.
The bottom line is: if you don't want to be tracked by government, leave your phone at home.

I would take Vetalia's approach

Pretty sure there were already some rudimentary viruses even further back than that..

That's certainly damning, though I think it's worth noting that while his work might have made some worst-case scenario presumptions, it did convince a lot of leaders and people alike to consider the idea of social distancing.
He made a mistake, and he's not the holy grail of virus researchers, but I don't think he deserves to be shamed for this.

That's a good explanation. Keeping secrets from your wife might have been a bad sign, but presents should of course be secret!
I also hate to use credit cards, only do it when I have to spend online. Likewise EFTPOS, I prefer cash. Not fear so much, rather I am stingy and don't like to give away information for nothing. Information is worth money to companies, they should offer me a discount or something if they want it from me.
Hmm, actually "points" on a loyalty card are a kind of payment for information. Annoyingly indirect though.

He had his mistress come over at least twice while her husband was suspected to have Corona, while telling regular couples that do not live together they were not allowed to see eachother.
That will cause some reaction.
